WTF is up with tavares's NOSE
I'm so sick of this team man. Its always the same "we played well, we had our chances, etc." just call it as it is. They didn't play well enough.
Rielly for a top pairing D-Man & an offensive D-Man has no idea how to break out of his own zone without turning it over, he has no ability to clear the puck out of his zone cleanly. This guy is so soft in his own end too. He's has no ability to defend at all in his own zone. I don't know how this guy is making $7.5 Million he doesn't do much to earn it
First time in years I'm starting to respect Keefe, at least now he's showing some emotion and coming down on his team a bit, holding them accountable at least to the media. "Pee wee" stuff. Ouch.
If I were GM of Toronto I would be Signing Benoit to an Extension.
I know he doesn't hit hes soft as a feather and csnt even take a clapper from the blue line. Hes predictable with that wesk sauce wrister. Brodie is just as bad if not worse for getting the puck out. Liligren is bad too, mccabe and benoit are the only ones thst csn and gio is to slow he needs to hang em up. Our D is shit and Treliving isnt getting us help either it seems, i feel keefe has us playing a terrible system too we need a shake down. New coach thst will play Robertson on the first line he deserves it more thrn knies right now. Keefe is killing this kids career.
This leafs team sucks so bad. D coverage, basic 101 shit, is completely beyond their comprehension. Then you'd like your goalie to make up for it… nope, not this team. I saw NYI going into the boards willing to sacrifice their bodies to win, but not the Leafs… nope! Nylander has to be the laziest player I've ever seen… I don't think I've ever seen a player take so long to get to the bench and get off the ice. These guys keep talking the talk, but they aren't walking the walk. Like I've been saying for months now… I doubt they will even make the playoffs this season.
Get rid of Keefe already! It's clear the players won't listen to him. It's not that it's his fault perhaps, but if he's lost the players (clearly the case), you gotta try something new because this team is NEVER ready to play on time and NEVER willing to play Defense.
Can't wait for the Leafs to get Tavares off their cap space.
So many opportunities will open up for the team.

Marner looks like he doesn’t care or even mention – the Leafs now tied in points in the last Wildcard points – to keep their playoff hopes alive the Leafs have to win against teams (Islanders, Penguins, Capitals & Devils) chasing them.

Reilly had a tough go on last one… he's played good last 2 yrs.. the real prob is r top guys aren't killers.. Tavares gets cross checked can't even get to clutterbuck without 4 guys grabbing him n not a single leaf really wanting to b in the fight.. barzal bailed on a hit n fell, horvat ran over wasn't even a thought.. kucherov/crosby/mackinnon all the winners they all have that snap show in them where someone will eat a slash/punch anything when time calls for it… Matthews is built like a fridge break ur stick over someone's hip literally gio had to save him from Travis konecyn before… atleast bluff the opponent to think ur crazy.. other teams just bully r top guys

Rielly was excellent in the post season & has been solid this season, save for a handful of sub-par games. You can add this game to the handful. They tie it up late & then Rielly makes a soft play producing a D-zone turnover. He compounds his mistake by allowing Engvall to swing out from behind the Leaf net, between he & Samsonov, untouched for a stoppable backhand winner. A soft giveaway & an even softer play net-front from a 6' 1" 224 lb veteran D-man. I love Rielly most of the time, but that was a complete disgrace, late in an important game.
Toronto at least 14 in close, high danger looks that they couldn't finish. That level of talent & they can't score 3 out of well over 60 shot attempts. Tavares had one, but should've had a hattie based on multiple looks. Matthews missed multiple chances + one in close with lots of net to shoot at, but hit iron x 3. McMann missed from 2 feet out with a 1/3 of the net open. Bertuzzi is beyond me. His issues are now strictly between his ears. 5.5M & 6 goals. That's worse than Kerfoot, Mikheyev & Bunting for more money. Samsonov wasn't bad, but Sorokin was decidedly better when New York started running around in their own zone. The Leafs piss away yet another winnable game.
Sell everyone , burn it down. An Era wasted a dam shame. How the f does Shanny still have a job two train wreck GMs in a row. MLSE wake up and save us from 4 overpaid Diva s leading us to nothing.
