Interesting. Very interesting.
Always going to be a memorable Canuck. The drastic regression under Rick Tocchet for his second season will be used as comparisons for future slumping players til the end of time, but that real talking point should be how real he is as a person. The guy obviously was having a rough go with the coach and the system, being scratched multiple times and all but never complained. Was happy to stay a Canuck through it all. Pure professionalism. Next, he is asked to waive his NTC and he did just that knowing he doesn’t fit the current system and the team needed something else. I have no doubts he is a team guy first and he knows agreeing to be moved will benefit his Canuck buddies who are trying to go for the cup this year and that if he refuses, he’s hampering his team. If Lindholm hits and we win the cup this year, this man is a hero.
I miss that smile already. Lots of love to Kuz, hope he does well woth Calgary considering he waived to help us land Lindholm.
