  1. As a Leafs fan, i knew they would lose this game. This isnt a dependable team, and now we have Brad Treliving at the helm to do absolutely nothing. Cant wait for the first round exit, if they even manage to hold their spot

  2. When are your going to realize that your are cheering for the Leafs? This is what they do. They are not a deep playoff team.

  3. Personally, I don't want to hear Leafs fans say shit about Sammy….. all the goals were horrible defensive errors. Brutal to watch.

  4. Their best chance at a cup died with the Habs a few years ago. Ir last year. Anyway, they're burnt now. The other teams jn their division have improved so much while they've been wasting their first rounds i dont see them going anywhere

  5. The roster structure is killing us. Brad has been a bad gm for the leafs so far. Missing the playoffs will honestly probably be the best thing for the team in the long run! From a Leafs fan.

  6. I like the Leafs. I like Toronto, I've visited Scotiabank arena and the Hockey Hall of Fame. The team should do better with all that talent, but they don't have the killer instinct that will advance them in the playoffs. If they can't beat the Islanders, how on Earth are they going to beat Boston, or Florida, or Tampa?? They actually played well against the Rangers this season and I think they might have a chance in that series. But unless someone has a way to supply an "all or nothing" emotion into this team, they will weakly get eliminated once again.

  7. The defense is so bad. And it's partially a personnel issue but 100% it partly on the coach. If your players aren't in position / not pressuring the shooter that's on the coach.

  8. on that first goal – Samsonov over played the pass across and slid too far to the side past his net… again – giving him no chance on any rebound or in this case a puck coming off the post. Didn't like how he played on that breakaway (he's usually good on breakaways). But overall, he had a decent game. Morgan Rielly cost the Leafs this game.

This Leafs team is going nowhere, no matter who they add. This is not the team to waste your future on – Leafs should stand pat at the trade deadline.

  9. On that low percentage shot it seemed like Sam was ready for the shot, but he was expecting the rebound to go the other way and got surprised from the bounce. Not to say that he's truly performing at his best, but I feel like Toronto's defense has made it so much harder for their goalies to bail them out. They need to rework their entire defensive structure cause it is not working with these players.

  10. I can't see how Keefe still has his job. He's one of the longest serving coaches in the league with exactly one playoff series win to his tenure with a team that's been in win now mode for years. The players are all locked in with no-trade clauses so you can't move them. Unless there's a huge surprise this spring, Keefe will be gone anyways. Why not give someone else a chance to see if they can get through to this team?

  11. it’s the same damn problem the leafs have had since the matthews era began, spending all ur money on fowards and not giving a shit about investing in the defense, it’ll be the downfall for them in the playoffs again, i’m certainly not a fan of the leafs but its frustrating to watch a team do the same thing over and over again every year

  12. How much more of this shit pile of a season do we need to witness before they send Keefe packing and at least attempt to restructure this team?

  13. no your right, that wing shot from barzal he needs to be using an overlap, but isnt. this is a problem, hes got no confidence in himself or the team on that play.
