i actually disagree with the C grade. i think there was some Awkward moments in the draft. Needs some work on that one. I like the direction everything else took. I found myself more invested than in years past. B-
A long, long time ago the all-star game had a little excitement with defense and passing and saves. (a long time ago). Why do we bother anymore with a boring game of Shiny. Why not have a skills competition and go home

In my opinion the McKinnon/McDavid game was slow and boring, neither team appeared to put any effort into it.
The Matthew's/Hughes game was way more entertaining from start to finish.
The final was pretty good but the McDavid team started very slow and didn't appear to be into it until almost halfway through. They were badly out shot during the first 6 or 7 minutes or so.
Once I saw Justin Bieber I lost all respect for the event

It’s an all star game…they were never good tbh.
I think they did a pretty good job at the end of the day it’s a show for the fans…I think having an allstar game mid season kind of ruins some momentum for teams and maybe kick starts some others. I could care less if they ever decided to get rid of it all together…happy about the new tourneys and olympics though.

I give the draft a D. Guys picked teammates, no trades, everyone being mic’d up was a disaster, the host wasn’t good, would’ve been way more entertaining to see a guy like Biz or PK do it, so many cringe moments, felt like I was back in high school watching that one group of friends present a last second presentation.
I give the skills comp a B+. Guys looked a little more competitive with that cash prize on the line. I liked the format over other years prior, with players earning points and moving on, thought that was interesting. I thought the skill competitions themselves were alright, could’ve came up with better ones tho. Also I wish more guys competed in it, and also instead of 1st place getting the full prize money, it should’ve been divided up among the top 3
And for the All Star games I give it a B. It was alr, most of the games were close and competitive, and guys were trying a little harder than past years, but still it would be fun to see guys give it their all. Would make for some really entertaining 3on3 hockey.
Overall, I give the entire thing a B-

they should set the All Boredom game like the old desk hockey games, five players, each permitted yo only move within a 4 by 20 foot area. the goalie should be permitted to move only side to side
within a seven by three foot. They should be forbidden from going to the ice or catching the puck.Players can change only after a goal is scored. Any violation of any of the rules is a goal for the other team. Play should start with the puck dropping from the overhead scoreboard. Far more interesting than anything the NHL has put on ……ever.
