@Sabres de Buffalo

    >Buffalo’s got a lot of good prospects, a really talented group not yet in the NHL. Over the next few months, it’s very possible some will be used to get what the Sabres need. There’s not room for all of them, and teams always wrestle with when someone outgrows the AHL. I’m very curious to see which young Sabres get a look over the next little while. I also expect Erik Johnson moves. That’s a no-brainer for a contender.

    Every season there is about one to two players who are traded that wouldn’t be under normal circumstances. I’m not sure who it will be this year but the players who are known to be available are underwhelming, at least to my mind. Coming into the season I had hopes that Elias Pettersson would become available as he had stated he wanted to win and he was not doing that in Vancouver, but unfortunately that ship has sailed. Offer sheeting Quinton Byfield is an interesting idea, however offer sheets almost never happen and any offer would have to be in the four 1st round picks compensation tier to have any hope of being successful. If the Sabres do spend premium assets I hope it’s for a legitimate difference maker who has team control.

    Hey! I’ve seen this headline before!!! Was it last year, or the year before that, or the year before that? Lol

    I keep hearing people on hockey and fantasy podcasts who only peripherally follow Buffalo news and they’re all sold on Buffalo being sellers at the deadline and poised to make big moves etc and I’m like…lol y’all know nothing about GMKA. We might trade Olofsson for Kevin Labanc and take on the contract of a ghost player in exchange for future considerations and call it a day. At best.

    Heard this story for the last dozen years. Luke Adam in the pipeline to save the day, fuck.
