  1. Flip happens to be one of those guys who is hockey obsessed. Its one of the reasons I had faith in him. He is the type of guy who only watches sports on TV, talks Hockey, absolutely loves it.

  2. Yeah, "you want Igor to figure it out" as Brian said. Because as good as Quick has been he's not the future in net.
That being said, if they play good defense like they did in the past 3 games the "goalie controversy" will be irrelevant pretty "Quick". 😉
BTW, Chicago is the perfect game to put Igor back in goal as they don't score anyway. On the flip side, it would be a game that he can't lose.
Finally I agree with Larry. It has been a big surprise to watch Quick play like he did in his prime. I did not see that coming at all.

  3. Molly brings nothing to the conversation again. She can't wait to interrupt everyone, including Larry. Show some respect and listen and wait your turn.

  4. I'm with you Brian I coach my son's squirt hockey team and we made the playoffs so we've got that coming up and try out a couple weeks later It's been a little bananas. It's also funny to see how parents start to jockey their kids for the a and the B team which you're not allowed to say a or B anymore you have to use colors so it's been a blast

  5. Quicks skill set has remnants of the old school goaltending. Like Mike Richter and Dominic Hasak. He's fast and he moves side to side while spreading himself out. It's a combination of mostly skill and a little bit of luck. Makes for very entertaining goaltending. None of this huge guys and 100% positioning that we see today in the league. He lives up to the name quick. I played goalie my entire childhood and modeled my game after guys like him and Richter. he's not quite a butterfly goalie but not 100% positioning

  6. I don’t care if Martin Broduer comes out of retirement to play for the Rangers. As long as we’re winning I don’t care who’s in goal.

  7. As usual, Larry is so insightful and spot-on.
Also like Brian’s ‘just play better’ for Igor.
Molly a bit long winded, but raises a valid point of ‘what if’ Igor doesn’t get better soon.

  8. I hope Shesterkin finds his game but don't expect a huge improvement, he has never been great against breakaways.

  9. Molly is the perfect example of the rangers fanbase/community like needing to make drama out of everything she is insufferable sometimes

  10. If Igor is gonna be a baby or a diva (which I don’t think he is I’m just saying) Igor might be on his way out he looks like he’s being lazy recently like recent loses Igor doesn’t even look like he’s trying

  11. With respect to Shesty and Quick, 6 words for Molly – “Don’t be such a drama queen”.

Shesty will work with Benoit. When Benoit feels Shesty is good to go, they’ll put him back in. And they’ll continue to work through his issues, should he have any.

If he struggles, and can’t cut it, then we have Quick to fall back on for this year and we’ll deal with the future as it comes (a lot will depend on Shesterkin and how he plays).
