Would it not be the most shocking turn around in Leaf history if Leafs surprised the entire league and we suddenly, shockingly see Mat Murray take to the ice!!?
He's scheduled to return in May! Or, maybe they trade him and Klingberg to a team who needs to come up to the cap for picks???
This entire Clown Town Apprenticeship program is due to the incompetence of Dubas! I still believe he orchestrated his departure knowing all the plundering he is guilty of in gambling rentals who played themselves out of the Leafs ability to sign, in effect dumping all that potential for sweet eff all, destroying Leafs picks and prospects for years to come resulting in the shit pond we're currently wallowing in!!

The first round pick shouldn't even be in the discussion. Unless your name starts with Mc, you're not worth a first round pick. Ever since they traded a first for a guy who gave them 12 games, I have been sick of those deals. And if they do trade it, the guy they get better be locked in for at least two full seasons beyond this one.
Andrew this team is nowhere close to a contender even if they add Hanifin and Tanev. It is just a pure waste of assets for a soon to be 35 yr old often injured d-man an a guy who has stated he does not want to play in Canada in Hanifin.
Leafs not not getting both D, Flames can get more assets by trade them separately.

if I'm treliving add tanev and mangiapane your adding defensive help and adding more scoring which this team needs. mangiapane also plays with an edge as well and works hard. than address goaltending which is another huge problem with this team. woll, sammy and jones aren't good enough for a deep playoff run

Stop trading our picks and prospects. This season is a crap shoot. Trade all the U.F.A'S for whatever you can get. Focus the off season on fixing the defense. Good God 7 years of just skill got them barely passed the 1st round and got spanked vs the Panthers. Tanev is a free agent in the Summer, that's when you get him. Not for a 1st round pick.
Andrew, with all due respect, this is a no go. The leafs were 12-6-4 before Zadorov was traded and they were heavily rumored to be in on him and Tanev.
Since then, they are 14-11-8. When can we honestly say this team has been in the wildcard conversation in the Matthews era. It’s time to look at the bigger picture on this season, and let Treliving use it as a benchmarker to see what these core guys can do without significant roster reconstruction midseason (which we all know is not his philosophy to begin with)
Not to mention, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it until it’s well understood on Tanev. He is not worth a 1st. We traded a 1st and prospects for a 29 yr old Muzzin. Somehow a 34 yr old, career injury prone Tanev is worth near the same? Give your head a bit of shake on that one because that’s just not what you spend your already depleted draft picks on unless he’s a bonafide top pairing defensemen for the foreseeable future

This team is beyond adding a couple players. They’ve had lots especially in the bottom six over the years and always get rid of them instead of letting them be part of the build.
