@Oilers d'Edmonton

Am I wrong to say I don't think Draisaitl has been anywhere near "lights out" this year (I'm an oilers fan)?

  2. As a flames fan I absolutely despise the edmonton oilers but i must say this was an incredible run hats off to you guys

  3. No they shouldn’t. They simply got lucky with going on a little bit of a hot streak during a time when their schedule was fucking easy. 16 games, 5 of them were against good teams that had a bad night, and 11 of them were against bad teams.

That’s nothing to be proud of.

If anything, congratulations to the Oilers for winning 5 games against good teams that played bad.

    That’s IT.

  4. Die hard Oiler fan but went to school with Adin Hill and I refuse to cheer against him… it’s been a conflicting experience for me when Vegas plays Edmonton.

  5. It hurt no doubt about it but well done anyway boys 16 in a row. Now lets dial it right back in for the second half of the season

  6. I won't dunk on the Oilers for losing to the reigning cup champs , I will, however, dunk on Oilers fans who thought this win streak was going to break the streak . The positives to come out of this loss are the best thing . They didn't get blown out of the water by Vegas . It was a close game from what has been said, and now they know where the bar actually is set and what has to be tightened up to beat a team like Vegas. The Western conference playoffs are going to be insane this year .

  7. Was a tough one to swallow but you can’t be upset at Hill playing on top of his head. I hope the fans give the boys the congratulations they deserve when they do come back to Edmonton now that it’s over. A standing ovation before the game starts is something I hope to see

  8. 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins was the greatest team of all time, almost, with 17 wins in a row. Mario Lemieux, Kevin Stevens, Rick Tocchet, Ron Francis, Jaromir Jagr, Larry Murphy, Joe Mullen, Shawn McEachern For the Edmonton Oilers to have 16 wins in a row vs. 17 wins for Penguins is amazing. There is no way a team will ever match the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins. I think Oilers had lots of quality chances to tie the game 2-2 after being up 1-0. Oilers had that game. But it is a good thing Oilers did lose, because if they had 17 wins or more it would feed their ego and that pride would puff them up. You don't want that. You want a team that knows and experiences how tough Vegas Knights so they will be ready for them in the Playoffs.

  9. They should have put McDavid and Draisaitl back on the same line with Hyman for the first line. Coaching mistake.

  10. You don't want Sean Walker, he is crappy, at -29. Nick Seeler is a bad idea since he has had no goals in 51 games. Big error!

  11. As an Avs fan I am proud to say that I thought they deserved that 16 win streak. Never doubted or thought they were frauds

  12. I am sad that the streak ended. But overall the fact that we are in a playoff spot is what matters more!

  13. They should be proud and have nothing to be ashamed about. A 7 game winstreak followed by a 16 game winstreak. Adin Hill after this performance launched himself into the rarified air of sub 2.0 GA (1.88 GA), so you can't feel anyway about that.

  14. As a Canucks fan I can relate to how annoying the media gets with stupid questions when there is any type of streak. Losing or winning. It's almost easier when they lose a game once in a while so they can focus on the important things (being good in playoffs).

  15. Theyre was way more disadvantage to vegas, i just really think that the oilers are scarred from adin hill last year. I swear they didnt even look like themselves the other night. Regardless im proud of the boys, we made history.

  16. Hill really played well. It was a good game, could have gone either way. The go ahead goal for Vegas was scored right after a missed call for slew footing.

  17. who remembers Columbus winning streak? In 7 years will anyone outside of Edmonchuck remember this streak? notta

  18. As a flames fan I still was rooting for the oilers to break the winstreak record, watching the highlights of these wins was so damn impressive, the team was just so efficient and everyone was playing like they wanted the win each game. With mcdavid being one of the greatest players of all time still not having won a cup I wanted to see him be a part of this all time record, sadly it didn’t happen but as you said the team is still looking really good, looks like they have a decent shot at the cup this season if they can keep things going

  19. I'm also okay with it being Vegas.. Defending champs n' all. When Vegas is clicking, they are terrifying, and it still took their goalie stealing it. Hill owed his posts dinner.
