I'm on board with getting vatrano , sadly I don't think he's gonna put this team over the edge to be a real contender.
He should be one of the targets… Our top line has been average this year and we already know that Frank played well with Mika and Kreider. I say either the Rangers go after both Henrique and Vatrano or go after both Tarasenko and Chycrun from Ottawa. I think the Ottawa deal would have to include Kaako, but the would hesitate to trade him to the Ducks for those two. Then go out and get Duclair for a second round pick
Trade Kakko and Goodrow/Wheeler for Vatrano & Henrique.
Would love to get Frank back, but at what cost?
What I love about him he shoots the puck from anywhere he is in the offensive zone which they need a guy like that.
trading for a guy having a career year, and not a rental, sounds like the cost would be high, what could possibly go wrong with that? If you would do that, then why wouldn't you pony up for Buchnevich, also 1 more year left, making 5.8 million per. Yes, you'd have to ask them to eat salary, which would raise the cost more, but you'd be getting a guy who has been on a steady rise and consistent, instead of a guy with a career year. I would look to see what a deal for Buch would cost, then compare that to a deal for Vatrano, then make the decision, Buchnevich much better than Vatrano, he just is, Buch solid in all areas

YES he did play great for us who's idea was it to trade him a bad habit the organization has of trading and rehiring and the best part of this is because he'll be back with the same players he has played with and kind of knows their style.

Personally I don't see any potential deals worth a 1st round pick, so it's not an issue. What is everyone else's thoughts? Who would you give up a 2024 1st round pick for?
