Necas 3 goals on 3 shot for Necas (4 for the Canes) Kochetkov looks good in net….until he didn't on that 1 goal. Raanta comes in and is great and gets hurt. (Honestly he has looked hurt for some time) both teams taking penalties. Many of the Canes PP were abbreviated but they score on 1. PK starts the third and is strong to finish. Jarvis blocks a shot with hand. (I was fearful it was a bad cut like Pesce had last year?…or the year before) He comes back and plays insane. Drury was crap again in the dot and on that line. Looking like toast with no butter again. KK again doing all the right things just not on the sheet. Bunting 1 PP goal and being his best pest he can be and I love it!!!!! The Canes need more of that from him!!!!! We had the Canes sticking up for each other!!!! Things that could be easily overlooked. DeAngelo played and did not cost the team. It was close a few times but Chatty covered well. DeAngelo showing some fire after a scrum that sent Lemieux to the room for the night with a ten minute misconduct. TDA ends up in the room with him. Again I loved it!!!! The Canes were not the CANDY CANES last night. And the biggest thing lost in all of this is Turbo having a 4 point night with 4 helpers and tough on the PK. Honestly my 1st star would go to him. 2- Necas and 3 Bunting with Jarvis close. I would even give PK an honorable mention for the way he came back in and gutted it out in the third!
My take on the goalie situation. TAKE A BREATH!!!!! Let Martin play tomorrow! See how he does. See how PK does his next game. Hear me out. If you go out today and call teams about their goalies it will cost you dearly! Any goalie who is available right now isn't worth anything. Wait until closer to the deadline when teams are unloading. Right now they know they can get more then they would at the deadline. Take two to three games to see what you have with PK and Martin.
