We played bad for the first 5-7 minutes in the first and were down by 3 goals. We outplayed them the rest of the game. Busted out

Engvall had to do was bounce the puck along the sideboard & recollected on the other side of the defender and it’s an odd-man rush going away or he could have just simply flipped the puck out of our zone and we’re going into OT but no, (as Hickey pointed out) he tried stickhandling around the defenseman and turned the puck over. I wonder what the guys must think about him in the dressing room? His unwillingness to use his size to his advantage and his unwillingness to be physical when needed? We’ll never know what they really think. I think he’s an excellent skater, built like Linebacker but he’s the SOFTEST hockey player I’ve ever seen in my life!7 years of engvall. Nice job Lou.

As I said last game, Lou waited too long and this team has pissed away too many points already this year.
I'm certainly happier with Roy in charge than Lambert, but this game has made it clear that this was not entirely Lane's fault. If this is how these guys are going to play this is not a playoff roster. No chance. Frustrating.

Pelach would not have gotten hit if Martin was on the bench. He was ill. Even so Gallagher is a bit of a jerk but I have never seen him do that. Pelach must have done something. But damage done. He was playing his best game back IMO now who knows? Reilly will be back with Bolduc. Rangers just put Bonino on waivers. Just saying with three games coming up against them. Read that article that Parise is planning to join Colorado. Isles bad puck luck right now. Glad Varly is back but as soon as they make a mistake its in the net. The penalties are mostly trips, not moving their feet and reaching for the puck. Barzy played a full two minute shift and then the full power play. Then they had to rest him until the third period. I know they need his offense but you can’t wear him out or they have no chance. Tighten things up. Devs lost and TB has been winning. Really missing CZ too. Hope Fasching is ok. Looking for the D to go to the net more. Aho almost had one.

Now,they dont even look good enough to make the playoffs! They either dont understand how to correct their stupid mistakes or cant!! I see at least 6 players that need to go,if not 8! 25,44,15,18,27,17,24,21,26 all need to go!!
Great episode as always, curious to get your take on this, but I personally believe Roy is being groomed to be the teams next GM. I think this assistant coach that was rumored to be joining the staff is Roy’s protege. The guy is 35 and defensive minded. Even if Roy says he has no interest in the management side, I really think down the road he will take over for Lou

Gm Gil. I don't think this season is salvageable. I thought the Barzal turnover and his complete lack of effort to chase down his own mistake confirmed to me the true spirt of this team. This team has no real grit. 5 penalties. Yes, they took advantage of the 5 min advantage but what if they'd have to claw those goals 5 on 5? Last night very well could have been 3 or 4 to nothing. I don't think schematic changes are enough. There continues to be a total lack of accountability and I think a good first step would be take the C away from Lee and make him a healthy scratch.

Right as always, Gil! Engvall needs to go. Those two turn overs were embarrassing and he isn't scoring the way he should. I can't get over how sloppy this team is in their own zone. They can't get rid of the puck to save their lives! My beer league team is better at dumping the puck out of the zone. Finally, the PP comes to life, but we still should have beat this team. But overall, we're getting closer. I can see Patrick's coaching is helping, but the team has so many bad habits from Lambert, that it's going to take a while to get better. He's already increased our shot totals and our main scorers are clicking-Horvat & Barzal. I really couldn't blame Varly on any of the goals. Maybe the one breakaway, but that's 50/50. The defense is the main issue with this team now. I'm sure Roy will fix it. Please get rid of Houda and MacLean. I don't think keeping them around will help. Roy should pick his own staff.
Hey Gil – This team made a great effort to fight back and get this game tied but to lose on a HORRIBLE engvall turnover was the worst. Pierre Engvall should of never been brought back for 7 years considering how many times he spent scratched from the Maple Leafs lineup before coming here. It's gotta be heartbreaking to the guys who actually played hard which is why he deserves to sit until he learns how to play a team game and When it comes to Varly he played very underwhelming for a guy who got chills when he found out Roy was named coach. They had better play urgent starting Saturday against Florida and then reset at the All Star Break and pray Barzal doesn't hurt himself showing off in Toronto.
