  1. Sorry, Yotes. Your city has so many nice suburbs, and none of them want the team. Nothing in the current situation says there should be a return with expansion to 34 teams. Public money for stadiums is probably a thing of the past. The gap between the rich and everyone else is dictating that. Not the proper place to get political, so I'll be done now. GO KINGS!!!

  2. This is a result of poor ownership. It was doomed from the beginning when they came from Winnipeg.

  3. I live in AZ and have a half season ticket…people here are somewhat confused about what is truly going on…people are frustrated…

  4. Atlanta was the biggest failure in NHL history.

Phoenix us currently the biggest failure in the NHL.

There are SO MANY hockey markets.

Why do Americans keep focusing on garbage….Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix it's all the same.

Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Detroit are not larger cities but have WAY more fans.

Put a team in Portland, Oregon, Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Quebec City REAL HOCKEY MARKETS.

I am SO HAPPY as an NHL fan to see the Coyotes move permanently.

  5. If the coyotes move i could possibly see Salt lake City or Sacramento if it does happen in the words of jeff Hardy it's not good bye forever it's only good bye for now

  6. Utah Grizzlies? That’s gonna confuse with the Boston Bruins because Grizzlies are nicknamed bruins since they’re brown bears.

  7. Move the team.. I don’t think Phoenix is not a hockey market But I do hope they leave the records, name n colors with Phoenix.

  8. salt lake golden eagles like in chl/ihl..
bye bye kachinas. az. got 15 years more than they deserved to lose massive amounts of $$$'s as the nhl let this fiasco drag it thru the mud. No more owners, bankruptcies, arena sagas, losses, unpaid bills. Thanks bettman for showing why the nhl remains a fourth rate bush league on u s sports scale compared to mlb, nba, nfl. No more b. s from con men like merullio.

  9. Sorry for your loss. From a Thrashers fan, it stings and leaves a void. I'm just happy that it appears that Atlanta will be back in the league within the next few years. Hopefully something will happen that will keep the Coyotes in the Phoenix area.

  10. The Coyotes did it all wrong.
They should have never made their plans known and definitely not have put it to a public referendum. Otherwise, you'd be in the process of building a new arena.

As of last week, a new arena was approved for an Atlanta NHL team. The potential owner owns the lot on which the arena is being built. The land has already been cleared and is now being graded, and the arena will begin construction in September. The County agreed to fund upwards of 40% of the arena costs. And Forsyth County board of commissioners have been meeting with NHL officials. I'd say it is a done deal for an Atlanta team at this point.

  11. I feel really bad for you but the ownership group sucks and are the ones responsible. The team needs to be sold. If there is no immediate buyer in Phoenix, give the city an expansion franchise when there is a competent ownership group and arena planned.

  12. I’d rather them go to Houston. Houston is bigger than Salt Lake and it should definitely be an option over Atlanta. They already failed twice they should not get a third try. Atlanta should be out the conversation. Houston would offer an amazing rivalry against the Dallas stars. It is the biggest city without a team. No reason it’s not the #1 option. The nhl keeps ignoring them and going to Salt Lake City.

  13. The Coyotes should have moved back in 2008 when most of the problems started happening. It sucks for fans in Arizona but unfortunately this is a business and a business needs to make money. Moving them north to a hockey starved market like Salt Lake City makes more sense because of a vibrant youth hockey culture, winter climate, larger hockey fan base to draw from etc.
