  1. Anyone who thinks Kuzmenko is even close to as good a player as Lindholm, hasn't been watching hockey the past 3 or 4 years. The one big year Kuzmenko had, a ridiculously high percentage of his shots just happen to go in the net. that won't happen again. he's WAY overrated!

  2. "There isn't a person alive who doesnt like Kuzmenko" i feel like Rick Tochett says otherwise lol

  3. I don't think it was ever Conroy's plan to fully rebuild, nor do I think it should be. The flames have talent and are already injecting their young prospects into the lineup. They need a re-tool, sure, but not a full on rebuild. If I'm Conroy I'm hanging up the phone as soon as another GM mentions Andersson, because I think he is still well within their timeline.

  4. Any team that makes the playoffs has a real shot at the finals, the Montreal Canadiens proved that a few years ago, and they beat Vegas, so who knows what wouldve happened had they not faced a circumvented team in the finals,, the kings are a team that barely made it into the playoffs and won a cup. If Calgary was sitting in the same place in the standings as the Wild then I'd agree trade off all these players, but we're 1pt out of a playoff spot and should be bringing assets in for a playoff run. I've been cheering for the flames for decades, if they throw in the towel with 2 months left in the season being only 1pt out of a playoff spot i'm washing my hands of this team.

  5. People. It's not that the Flames just got Kuzmenko. It's that they got Kuzmenko, a first, a high achieving B-level prospect, a D prospect, and a 4th. There's a lot that the Flames got for Lindholm beyond just Kuzmenko.

  6. You can't trade away all the veteran leadership for the sake of a 'timeline'. You need guys like Andersson around and in the room to be a leader (C after Backlund) and mentor. If I'm Connie, Ras is untouchable and I'm doing everything I can to keep him in CGY until he retires.

  7. There's no way the Flames even listen to offers on Andersson. Him and Weegar are their D core long term – both great players with a strong veteran presence. One of them will be the Captain after Backlund leaves.

  8. Really enjoyed this conversation. As a Flames fan ive gotta say for the first time in decades I'm not even a little worried about the GMs ability to manage assets. It's a glorious feeling. Have fun with Brad (sorry i had to chirp a little)

  9. Jesse Blake might be the biggest pretender ever, who does this guy think he is? Probably skates like a giraffe on the ice…. Please leave the takes to actual hockey analysts

  10. My question is.. kuzy couldn't score on a playoff bound team where other teams bring their best every night.. what makes you think he can continually thrive when the checking gets tighter.. also i hear people say they can move him next deadline.. I'm still confused as to what he can bring to a contending team when at a minimum he struggles to back check and comes back to support his line mates.. that is not a style of any cup contenders.. one can hope a full offseason he can correct his ways..

  11. The Flames have had 2 major problems this season. They haven’t had enough finishing touch. Very little creativity. They also have a really hard time keeping pucks. They turn the puck over so much it’s alarming. Kuzmenko helps with both of those problems and he’s got a ton of positive energy. They might MIGHT make the playoffs, but they’ll get decimated in the first round if they do. They need to keep sellling.

  12. Whoever the dude on the left is, I am so glad he has zero control over the Flames squad. He would have the entire team traded for draft picks and the AHL roster playing. Dude made zero sense in any of his opinions or speculations.

  13. Jesus Christ, this dude is driving me crazy with his horrible Rasmus Anderson opinion. He thinks Calgary is shipping Rasmus? Zero credibility going forward.

  14. Your arm chair gm mode is set to rookie. Trade Raz?! Yikes. That won't happend anytime soon. Like why ??😂
