  1. As a Det fan that watched the Det/Col rivalry, those 2 clubs did tons of small "disrespectful" things such as this. It's because you're rivals, you want to get under the skin of the opponent. I agree a response should of been made, but a crosscheck to the head is not cool. These are usually resolved via a scrum or, most likely, through actions of the next game.

As for suspension, this hit was worse than even the Perron crosscheck to the Ott player head area. And that came after Ott leveled Larkin leaving him unconscious on the ice. Perron was responding to a dirty crosscheck to Larkin head that KO'ed him with an equal response in return. Perron got 6 games, Reilly should get at least equal, if not more. Reilly was responding the same way Perron did, and did a hit just like Perron. Difference is Perron was responding to and defending his own guy that was, at the time, unconscious on the ice. Reilly was responding to a slap shot goal on an empty net.

  2. This Greig kid is 21 years old, back to tik tok with your memes after learning that life lesson; Did Greig honestly think he was going to get away with that slap shot? Imagine you just laid a slapshot 1 foot from the open net and think that you will face no repercussions from the opposition; classless act and then he got put into his place by Reilly of all people; not justifiable but we all know if Greig tried that on another team he woulda got bodied to;

  3. "Disrespectful?" Let me remind you, the Queefs were in our barn. We will score empty netters however we choose. Queefs lost season series against the Sens, Queefs only have 5 more regulation wins than the Sens, if it wasnt for loser points youd be basement dwellers along with the Sens. You aint that good and you will now miss the playoffs. COPE.

  4. How is an empty-net goal "disrespectful"???? Regardless on how it's scored, a goal is a goal. The Toronto Maple Laughs just can't take it, nor can their petulant fans. For the love of God, cry harder.

  5. Grieg is a rookie, half the fans in your building are cheering against you. he wasn't disrespecting the Leafs (Rielly's check was way more disrespectful) he was showing all the Leafs fans in the CTC your team is far from a contender. if half the fans at a Leafs game cheered for the other team the Leafs would fold like a cheap card table.

  6. Do it again Ridly. They wanted to win the game. There is no respect when it comes to scoring.I cant believe your complaining about this.If its drama you like read The National Enquirer.

  7. What about when Dale Hunter demolished Pierre Turgeon after a goal celebration.
I don't have any problem with the goal, but what Riley did was unacceptable, even more so what Keith said saying it was fine !!!

  8. Disrespectful? Don't basketball players do the same when they slam dunk? LOL Toronto Maple laughs fans are a bunch of babies. They are wound so freaking tight LMAO , either way Reily will get 2 or 3 games even though the other players that have done the same move this season have gottne 5

  9. His intention was to hurt the Ottawa player, 5 games, this was not a hockey play, temper tantrums are not ecceptial!!!!

  10. ridly greig did what players do when a game means something to them. i loved it. reilly did what players do when the game means something to them. i liked it also. the prima dona leafs are selective when they allow a game to mean something to them. very unprofessional.

  11. And the little mutt who scored his 8 th goal with a slapper~~ got up, went to his bench laughing, he got the response anyone would do, his teammates probably told him you have your teeth to eat with don’t do it again 😂

  12. Just shows how not professional these "athletes" are. It's a childs game, being played by grown babies. Starting to look like soccer out there.

  13. Last time i checked; Slap shot = legal, cross check to the face = illegal. Kinda simple. Pinto gets 41 game suspension for doing what the league is promoting these days, gambling, which is rediculous so why not keep things in perspective and give Rielly 42 games, for a far worse transgression. Safety of the players maybe 5 games, potentially screwing up the revenue of the gambling profits, 41 games. That would make sense, so that is why they won't do it. The all mighty dollar is what really matters here, it's pretty clear.

  14. 5 games , that's intent to injure and what if that hit made him go down hard and he's out for the season

  15. The leaves have never won more than 2 playoff rounds – ever. When they won their cup last, there were 6 teams – 4 made the playoffs. 2 rounds played.

  16. By the way that's not the first time a pucks been slapped into the net on an empty goal like that there has been another time before 🤔

  17. The only thing disrespectful is considering that ANY NHL team is not a worthy opponent. Leafs got what they deserved with that EN clapper.

  18. Rielly has been offered an in person hearing by NHL Player Safety and so it is gonna be at least a 5 game suspension . . . As it should be!

  19. Who the hell cares he shot at the empty net it’s a goal. Are we really going to get mad about how he did it. Maybe Toronto should just play better and they wouldn’t have to worry about players doing this. Riley should put on his big boy pants and play better hockey.

  20. Boo hoo. If you don’t like the shot, man up Rielly challenge him to settle it like men not some pansy using your stick to the head.

  21. Give Reilly some respect by giving him at least 3 games for intent to injure with his stick check to Greig's head.

  22. Lego we get it. You're a Habs fan. Our sens have dominated the habs forever. Grieg scored a goal. Morgan should've dropped the gloves. He's a pu$$y.

  23. Of course tml agrees with it. The real test if it is okay is switch it around, would tml be okay if someone did that to a leaf in reverse scenario. Leafs would be crying for Grieg to be banned for life.

  24. Legorocks99 you have a really poor perspective… ( its disrespectful to ensure an empty net goal ? )
