Another example is when Bunts was crosschecked in the upper back/neck in front of Pans net by Bennet , then again he crosschecked Bunts while down in the same area at the back of his neck, Bennet got nothing. Or when Bennet grabbed Knies from the back and slammed his face to the ice, took out Knies for a few games, Bennet went scott free.
Agree with both of you on Mo, 100% regarding the crosscheck going up because of Grieg's arm/shoulder rising and it lands in his lower neck/face region. Morgan let his frustration with refs coach teammates get better of him. Response was deserved but it was too extreme so suspension is deserved also. 3 games would match the crime but expect 6 as again the Leafs are used to set an example. No idea why any more than 5 games is warranted but it's the NHL so who knows what they will do.

I keep hearing Sens captain would have done the same thing. No, he would have fought him. That’s the difference. This situation is different than others so far this year. It was after a goal and he skated 30 feet to go at him. It wasn’t a split second reaction. You can’t compare it to other suspensions. And it wasn’t passion it was anger. If he’s suspended 6 games that’s 20% of their remaining games. They might not make the playoffs.
