Should have never resigned him
Hey Nick, love the show. Sid needs help with the scoring. Him and Jake are the only one's that can finish with any consistency. What would you think if they moved Jake and Rust down to maybe drag Geno's game up, and put Smith and Rakell with Sid to see if he can elevate their games? Just think something drastic needs to happen.
I think Jarry is having an underrated year because of how bad the defense is and how idiotic the Penguins play at times. The Jets had so many odd man rushes the other night off of turnovers and the Pens not being able to handle the puck. It could have been much much worse. And what’s sad is that the Pens should have been playing sharp and desperate hockey down a goal and fighting for points. Yet, the Jets looked waaaaay better.
The Pens need to be much bigger ,tougher and meaner if front of their goalie and make life miserable for any one crossing their blueline .
Ek on first power play, Malkan on second ,some one needs to screen the goalie ,they are seeing all the shots .
Scoring is a big problem on this team. HUGE
The Pens are reminiscent of the 10 Rwd Wings. World beaters on paper, but simply past their prime. Never won another after, broke down, and rebuilt.

Never thought scoring would be the main issue here and the power play ….probably what's gonna keep them outta the playoffs.
Defense is soft – no intimidation in front of their of goalie. If the Pen's goalies don't smother the rebounds (ie, have a perfect game) the opponents will often get easy opportunities to score on the rebound.
It’s a shame the rest of the team doesn’t support Jarry! Golf season coming soon for the pens. Maybe next year they will decide to play when they miss the playoffs again.
