L’attaquant des Leafs Ryan Reaves a pris la défense de son coéquipier Morgan Rielly pour sa réaction au tir frappé dans un filet vide de Ridly Greig. Reaves a eu des mots forts pour le jeune attaquant des Sénateurs et a été franc avec ce qu’il pensait du coup sûr et de la punition en attente pour Rielly.

Reaves is the most irrelevant player in the league. He gets a couple minutes a game.

Reilly is a millionaire crybaby. Are we surprised that Reaves has this attitude as he is one of the last of the goon era left? He’s sad that he is irrelevant now.
The issue isn't how the suspension is handed out. It's that there is no integrity in the DoPS and they have consistently handed out longer suspensions to the Leafs over the last 10 years than any other team to "send a message to the NHL."

People like Reaves and, comments like Keefe’s and behaviour like Reilly’s hurts the game. The old boys club probably doesn’t care with their BS code justifications. This isn’t the WWE. It is supposed to be an elite sports league with professional adults playing. Most can act responsibly practically their whole careers. Others need to grow up or get out of the league. What an embarrassment, including the supporters of thuggery.
Why not make a statement with sam bennett gino or David perron why should rielly have to be made a statement of. You media in Toronto made it go from a call in another market to an in person because all you do is talk about it and you think reaves hurt his chances. Shut up you media morons are the reason

Reeves comments shouldn't affect anything he is telling how he feels. As for Rielly he deserves a suspension BUT if Gallagher only got 5 games for his dirty dirty elbow Rielly shouldn't get more than 4 games.
How does it hurt him? He shouldn't have a hearing at all also. I've seen worse get treated quickly and move on but because its Toronto…..Reeves said what I would say and that Rookie is lucky he didn't get a stick up his ass while he layed there🐢 😂 good for Morgan 🎉

The suspension should be about the on ice actions. Are you suggesting that the league adds games because of Reeves comments?. Im sure there is some sort of legal issue there and the PA would step in.

I agree Gino…..Reaves didn't help Rielly's case going into the hearing tomorrow. I'm predicting 3-5 games for 1 reason…INTENTION…it appears Rielly tried to get him in the shoulder, and so he can argue he wasn't intending to knock out his chiclets or fracture his face. These players make so much $$$ these days Gino (as you well know) that they don't seem to care about the $$$ lost from these infractions. How many times over the years have we heard a player say "that's the best damn $5,000 I've ever lost" referring to losing $$$ from such infractions. Tons of times. The worst part of Rielly's mistake is how his suspension will impact the Leafs' already porous "D" as they are battling for a playoff spot….ouch!!!!
His coach and team mates all parroting that his heinous attack was appropriate and trying to blame the victim for scoring a goal, as if that was supposed to happen, should definitely hurt his cause
