If you believe in east coast bias, you can start to see how someone like Loungo never won the Vezina in voting. So it’s not exactly a shock someone doesn’t realize how valuable this particular Hughes brother has been. Bet you a lot of people think JT Miller is pretty unremarkable too.

1. Obviously someone in Vancouver management considered him a centre at the start of last year
2. Prior to signing his contract, someone in Vancouver management wanted to tank his signing value.
3. Most likely, now that he’s obviously a defenceman and signed his extension, someone in Vancouver management wants Quinn to keep a chip on his shoulder and play with something to prove.
