There are only two outcomes here for the NHL. 1) the quality is so shit over the course of a full season that Fanatics has no choice but to level up or 2) they do nothing, the jerseys are frayed and misspelled, and the contract gets terminated.
It’s appalling to me that the leagues have landed here. Bottom line and all, but it’s insane.
It’s staggering how obvious the change in quality is with Fanatics. Everything feels thin and cheap, shirts shrink no matter what, and the hats bleed dye if you sweat a little bit in them. Yet the prices are the same.

This is definitely not the end goal of all rich dickheads running every major industry right now. No one will improve until forced to, no industry will be better until we make these companies break up. If you are big enough to monopolize in any capacity, you’re too big to exist. Fanatics is the only game in town now, and everyone but Fanatics will be fucked for this lack of long term legal foresight on the part of western capitalist governments for the last ~50 years.

I bought a Fanatics « Nike » Vladimir Guerrero Jays jersey last year and it was peeling already. Thankfully, I was able to get an older Majestic authentic on ebay to replace it. Quality is night and day.
