  1. Smith is a perfectly fine player, just doesn't seem to be a fit in Pittsburgh. It happens, the Penguins have been through plenty of forwards that didn't fit. Derek Brassard for example.. it just seems like Smith's heart is still in the desert. The Penguins need to do something…. this roster is stagnant. Look for a decent second line Center and slide
Malkin over to the wing with Sid and Jake. Slide Rust back to the second line. They need to do something.

  2. you are absolutely allowed to slap shot an empty net… in fact.. you're invited to…. but expect to be pummeled.. but yeah, you have that right

  3. You obviously never played hockey before….Greig doing that, was a big “fu*k you” to the Leafs. Any hockey player with any pride would do exactly what Reilly did. Stick to the face was a bit much but Greig knew what he was doing, and it was going to warrant a response.

  4. Ned would be a good trade chip. We would still have Hellberg and be able to give Blomqvist some NHL action. Is Ty Smith a lost cause? How close is Pickering?

  5. I personally would not trade Reilly Smith back to Vegas. He acted all unhappy here and didn't produce, so why give the guy what he wants?
I'd trade him to whoever gives the pens the best offer. But not vegas. Don't reward someone for their poor performance and lousy attitude.
