@Oilers d'Edmonton

». Je veux entendre vos réflexions ci-dessous ! #Oilers #EdmontonOilers #AreOilersBetter

  1. These Euro players are the most exciting thing moving forward for me so far…. I don't know what that says…

  2. Fans need to understand that this not the NBA where getting a player here & there can drastically improve your team!! The way the NHL is currently set up where a team needs to build through the draft to go along withsmart trades & free agent signings. Holland is being smart by not rushing to sign guys because that is what the media & fans want & instead he is evaluating the current roster to see what kind of players he needs to bring in in order to improve the team.

  3. Right now I think they are only slightly financially better. Making the playoffs to get swept in round 1 is an accomplishment.

  4. Gustav Nyquist at 5.5 lucic at 6 can't believe they bought out sekera and didn't get Nyquist but it's just July!

  5. I agree with you that we shouldn’t go into the season with unreasonably high expectations across the board

  6. imho:
    Bottom 6 forwards: now adequate.
Defence: passable and cheaper, but not elite.
    Goal: ditto.
Top 6 forwards: I only see 3 players. Khaira? Kassian? Gagner? I'm really not thinking we win the cup there.
Better than last year? Yes, for three reasons: I do think Smith is better than Talbot, having an actual 4th line means McD and Drai shouldn't have to play 30 minutes a fricken game, and the defence bubbling in the AHL look like they could step in at least at the bottom pair if injuries hit again.
Make the playoffs with this bunch? 50/50.
Win the cup? Geeeeee, that's a stretch. Let's say it would require luck.

  7. I don't see this lineup being in a playoff hunt by mid February, maybe even by mid December. But I've also stated i expect a turnaround to take 2-4 years ( with excellent Gm'ing). Time will tell if I'm right. Excellent Video Tyson.

  8. I saw Samorukov at the practice, honestly he looks like a great prospect, but if he's in the NHL before fall 2021, I will be astounded. He's just a kid, and against his own age group he's "a man among boys" but against the likes of Steven Stamkos and Johny Gudrow??? Not yet. Notttt yetttttt….

  9. I know Nyquist is expensive but he would've filled in the winger depth and probly would've been worth it because with McDavid and Draisitl scoring over 100 point imagine the numbers we would have if we added him

  10. Holland added quicker fwds in the bottom 6. Especially on the forecheck. Holland did Added depth, speed n pk help. Bottom 6 could be better.

Hopefully, Haas nygard and garnlund can help the pk to get to the middle of the pack. They have a shot at the playoffs if the pk can get around 14th to 17 th in league.
Possible penalty killers at fwd : Khaira rnh garnlund haas nygard chaisson maybe brodz gambardella or cave can help that pk.

    Pp hopefully stays top 12.

Pk last year n before was such a momentum killer. Some nights Play well out shoot the other team. A Penalty. Quick goal. Bench slumps. Feel sorry, teams know this n go for the kill for the nxt 5 to 10 minutes. By the time they recover, game out of reach.

Garnlund should get more than 0 goals. He should get double digit goals in the bottom 6. Hopefully upgrade over reider.

Jurco faster player than rattie. Hopefully he stays healthy, he could be an upgrade over rattie.

Nygard if he makes the team n can get 8 to 12 goals that would be a bonus. His speed in the bottom 6 will help.

Gagner should get double digit goals, 10 to 12 seems reasonable. Maybe khaira hits double digits again in the bottom 6. Not counting on that.

New Jersey could use another rw.

Thoughts on left winger power forward – Miles wood ? Had 19 goals 2 seasons ago. Last season 10 goals in 63 games.
Some injuries n I believe suspension last season. His game reminds a bit of a erik cole with that speed n power game. 23 yrs. Could play lw with rnh? His speed he can keep up with McDavid if things need to be mixed up . 2.75 mil avv . 3 more yrs.

  11. I’m actually liking are line I think will do good this year if we can pick up one more depth score will do fine can’t blame holland for PC mess

  12. lol..yes mr dolynny..europeans concern me..too many are soft, have trouble adapting to a north american game, and play short schedules….legitimate issues…you are promoting a rebuild….we don't need a rebuild….top down, not bottom up…thats when doors start to close on you when you 'wait'.

  13. The Oilers are still going to be terrible. Fans of this dumpster fire should embrace their last year with McDavid
