[Di Marco] L’histoire complète viendra plus tard, mais plusieurs sources confirment que la blessure de Rasmus Ristolainen est importante et qu’il sera absent au moins un mois.

Honestly, it was hard to imagine a situation where a Ristolainen trade would’ve made sense at the TDL anyways, hope he gets healthy and that we finally get to see the long awaited « Playoff Risto » soon.

A major missed opportunity while he’s been playing well.

This is where being proactive before the deadline rush would have really paid off.

Briere better not use this as a reason to hang onto Walker past the deadline. Move Sanheim back to the right side while Risto is out, maybe give Attard a shot if there’s a need for an additional right handed guy between the time Walker is dealt and Risto comes back.

Blah, at least Risto will be here for the Stanley Cup run then

Sooo… LTIR and more cap space to weaponize at the deadline?

I’d guess that this means you’re going to have York and Sanheim back together, keep the seeler/walker duo, and have Drysdale with Zamula on the third pair most nights, sprinkle in Staal when Torts has a senior moment and that’s probably your set.

Still not a bad spot to be in. You figure Seeler and Walker are still likely trades, you can bring up one of the D men waiting in LV like Attard or Andrae (or both) and send one down once Risto comes back for the late season push.

Still sucks for the player though. Get well soon Risto.
