I reserve the right to be wrong, but I bet if you did a secret poll, the majority of the reason why people dont want him to do it is because they dont want a Russian to reach the pinnacle over a Canadian who is widely considered to be the goat in a statistic category that we hold in the highest regard. I think to a lot of people it represents a turning point in Canadas dominance and lore in the game.
i dont think panthers top bruins.
Gotta side with CP here, I really don’t see an empty net slapshot as THAT big of a deal. Like, is it more disrespectful than hitting the griddy after scoring?
Boys buzzing from across the country. Great pod 👏 Thanks for hitting both Upper and lower Michigan hockey fans with the guests on this one.
Raymond will be a ppg player soon
Fantastic ep boys
Yeah the fastbreak and dunk comparison was definitely a bit off lol everyone dunks on a fastbreak, layups only if you quite literally can't jump high enough to dunk
“What’s not to like about Ovechkin?” The fact that he is a buddy and a supporter of a dictator that is killing innocent people every day is not enough? And do not even start your “do not mix sport and politics”. Go read a an article on “The Hockey News”about editor’s trip to Ukraine and all the hockey infrastructure that was bombed and destroyed by Ovechkin’s buddy. Go google how many sportsmen (including hockey players) lost their lives because of him and will never be able to compete anymore. A person who supports that is not much better than the one who gives orders. And, before even trying to justify the creator of “putin team” just go check his profile picture…what a surprise
28:23 Miro and Harley have been one of the best d pair in the nhl since they started playing together but ya Tanev would make a great Hakanpaa replacement sure up the blue line. Btw since all star break Otter has been amazing.
Great episode as always! We need to hear Mo's cereal choices, huge cereal guy here too!
Vegas does not win the cup without Barbashev, trade deadline coming up and with some of the names out there it’s tough to say what teams in the East look like at the end of the season. I’d imagine GM’s across the league look at Tampa with at least some concern having seen this not go so well the last few years when they have any cap space. And holy hell, the “what if” factor with John Gibson? with a defense in front of him? With an offense that can possess the puck? and if he is at his peak level of play? in the playoffs?!?!?!?!?! Is doesn’t seem far fetched to say he could very well be the playoff MVP.

Have the Best Lucas interview Ive ever seen, so you've earned my sub and like. Nice content, looking forward to more.
"Why did that guy kill the other guy? -Well, he couldn't control his emotions. He saw red. He didn't mean to kill him though… -Oh, ok then. We will sentence him to a slap on the wrist"…
