Keith Jones was on with Ray Ferraro and Darren Dreger today for a good long interview. He made some interesting comments about whether he and Briere would consider trading Walker and Seeler at the deadline, then sign both as free agents in the summer. I’m pro-Rebuild. But I also don’t think every player’s career ends at age 30, especially D men, so I’d definitely consider trading then re-signing both (at the right price) in July.

Cool to hear from Jones that Danny was the one who identified and targeted Walker in that trade.
Also cool to hear how Torts kinda identified Coots as captain immediately but didn’t want to put more pressure on Coots until he felt it was the right time coming back from injury.

“We’re not there, yet.”
I love to hear this! This is something you’d NEVER hear from past front offices, and I’m all for it!
