I never watch the post game cause I’m so angry at the organization. Sorry Sal.

  2. jerrosen14

Pp has to be better but very annoying to have such a close game start to get game managed in the 3rd

  3. RakimWebster

I really don’t think this a game we overreact too tbh. It was a bad loss but I’m still feeling encouraged based off our last 4 games.

  4. powatwain

LA dropped back and completely took away our speed and transition game

Tough game to lose, Daws also stole us a point, but they couldn’t seem to get anything going 5-on-5

    Home woes continue

  5. PumpkinFar7612

Playoff teams put multiple long winning streaks together. This franchise acts like 2 in a row is finally them getting over the hump. Just an average and tbh boring season from the devs

  6. NYCW175

Know how they redeem themselves? Embarrass Philly on Saturday night.

  7. dan4hockey99

Philly got a loser point, at least leafs won

  8. HiddenMoney420

Team we played was more mad and desperate than us. They’re being chased in the West like we’re chasing in the East.

Hopefully Jack can harness his anger and frustration into some more points in the future instead of yelling at the officials mid plays, regardless of how bad the call/non-call might be.

  9. theketchupthief

It was blatantly obvious what LA was doing strategy wise tonight and Lindy didn’t adjust. Please don’t throw our farm system away for a goalie to save this coach’s job

  10. IntrepidBandicoot757

I would honestly rather not go to the fucking PP anymore, just play 5 on 5 lmfao. Our PP just feels like a waste of time anymore.

  11. Zealousideal_Wave341

How about rolling 4 lines and playing Holtz more than 8 minutes…pathetic

  12. JackfruitProper

This team is lacking urgency and a killer instinct. Every other team battling for the playoffs is going all out but this team.

  13. Batfleck666

Silver lining…at least we’re not seeing the « injuries » excuse anymore.

  14. nostradamefrus

Questionable officiating to say the least, but can’t blame the zebras for 1/5 on the pp. Luke needs to be off PP1 immediately. I still feel like the new system is the answer for this season. Guys made plays and helped Daws. Only 1 shot difference. Opportunities were there while still focusing on defense

This isn’t a game I’d probably be mad about losing if it were any other year in recent memory, save for the officiating. Nothing wrong with a close slugfest. But jesus christ, this is a dagger

    Let’s go Leafs and Canucks

Fuck I didn’t see Leafs/Flyers was in OT. Goddamn loser point

I’ll also add that at least losing tonight means we start fresh in the W column for Saturday. Can’t worry about winning 4 in a row if you don’t win 3 in a row. HMU for a connect for premium copium

  15. Ryan9hrs

We are gonna look back at this one when we miss the playoffs by a point. This team just lost 7-0 the the Sabres and we put up 1 goal. Pathetic.

  16. Zero adjustments to a 1-3-1 to take away the Devils speed and break out ability kinda was trouble too. Dano had the Kings gameplan figured out within the first minute of puck drop, meanwhile we just tried pushing a round peg through a square hole for 3600 seconds.

  17. VanDerZappa

I don’t think this was the worst game, it was close but the refs tossed penalties left and right and unfortunately, we were on the bad side of puck luck. Would’ve loved to win it, but LA ain’t exactly the worst team in the league so I’ll accept a close loss over total domination from a good team.

  18. ToughJuan

I hate the feeling that daws won’t get the next start even though he deserves it. Someone strap Lindy to a rocketship and send him on a course to the sun.

  19. this sub is volatile as fuck. damn dawgs get some rest.

  20. gothenburgpig

Hilariously, getting Markstrom now is irrelevant because we suddenly can’t score and are getting good goaltending anyway.

  21. IrateBarnacle

We lost to a team that the freaking Sabres not only shut out, but laid more than a touchdown on.

    Unbelievable.

  22. Pls_Send_Joppiesaus

We gave up way too many shorthanded chances on the power play. Our power play has really dropped off since the start of the year.

If VV was in goal, they might have scored 3 or 4 on us. Daws made some incredible saves.

  23. Played with no effort. Deserved the L. Better come out with fire on Saturday

  24. Spade18

Smith giving an extra long interview to give the kids time to cool off. Respect

  25. NoFearsNoTears

Just win Saturday. That’s literally all i NEED for the rest of the season. The rest is just extra bs that means nothing.. because this team is clearly not making a playoff run if they even make it.

  26. Mr7three2

Everyone jerking off about « fiery/fiesty/angry Jack »… yeah well we’re 0/6 when Jack loses his composure.

And save your « Crosby used to be the same way » nonsense comparisons. Jack needs to get his head out of his ass and refocus.

  27. vtloncto14

They weren’t going to win 30 straight games, but could really use some help tn

  28. TediousSpark

Okay, I’m not doing the reflexive shitting on Lindy. I think given how gassed they were, they put in a good effort. Daws was obviously fantastic.

But I’m sorry, I also think the stuff that hurt us largely comes down to coaching/management, and that’s fine to acknowledge! I do also think Jack needs to get his ego in check.

    See y’all Saturday.

  29. jeffdbatista

Ruff lives rent free in a lot of your heads.

  30. Dependent_Weight2274

I’ll there for the rematch on 3/03 rocking my Jersey Jersey.

  31. chickenKsadilla

Will I hear a single media personality or analyst talk about Arvidsson head hunting Jack? Literally over / under 0.5 people that aren’t our own journalists or PK Subban.

  32. NoFearsNoTears

Poor passing, soft on the boards, no chemistry, no movement or delusion created on the PP, no adjustment to the 1-3-1, no skilled forechecking, can’t play dump and chase for the life of them… coaching is a major issue, clearly… and the roster needs to be tweaked if we want to be this dynasty people want to keep talking about us getting to in the future. This team is so far away from being Cup contenders… and a lot of you need to come to that realization.

Go watch the Stars play for 5-10 games.. full games.. and tell me how you feel about this team after you see how a real NHL team plays

  33. njdevils901

Those final 5 minutes made me want to tear my hair out, no chemistry, barely looked like they were trying, good lord this loss and the late loss to Montreal will cost us dearly come April (I can’t wait for us to miss the final spot by 4 points)

  34. TheJerkInPod6

Not quite sure why I posted this in the gameday thread instead of here. I’m dumb.

I agree that Jack is much less effective when his jimmies get rustled. He better keep his head on straight when the Flyers start being the Flyers at MetLife on Saturday.

Good game though, just didn’t care for the result. That’s how it goes sometimes. Defense looked good at times, Daws was fantastic. Lots to build on from here.

  35. I really thought our best chance at playoffs was catching Philly after they started to falter a bit either from losing Carter Hart or just from over achieving all year. But they just keep winning, or at least getting loser points from games they don’t play well. I think Torts has them humming along and I’m no longer convinced they will backslide at all.

Which leaves us desperately clawing for a wild card spot. From the Atlantic it feels like BOS and FLA are locks, while TBL, TOR, DET are fighting for spots. TBL and TOR will make it unless they completely collapse or have huge injuries. So we have to beat DET for the last wild card spot, while fending off NYI, PIT, WSH.

We don’t play DET the rest of the year, and our strength of schedule remaining is 7th toughest, while theirs is 19th toughest. It’s a difficult task but it can be done. Every game matters

  36. Sometimes it’s easy to forget Jack is still only 22. Maturity is such an issue, and one that will hopefully be worked out. Opponents are never going to stop trying to knock him out of games and refs are always going to let a lot go, so he really needs to learn how to channel the rage better.

But this loss was hardly all on him. The whole team looked off offensively and special teams was shit. Frustrating lack of anything from Timo after a couple solid outings, They once again played a pretty tight game defensively, which is certainly promising, though it still could’ve been a lot more one-sided if Daws didn’t make a couple ridiculous saves. Really pleased with his play the last few games and hoping he can keep it going (and that we don’t lean too much on him in the short term).

Incredibly frustrating game, but ultimately, this loss is a less damaging than one would be on Saturday. Just have to hope that the offense can look more like they did back when our defense was atrocious.

  37. skeezoydd

Way to many holes in this teams game. If it’s not the goaltending it’s the PP, if it’s not the PP it’s the defense. It’s like we gain one thing and lose another. SERIOUSLY discouraging and can a team even go far being this soft against the boards??? I hope it’s an age thing…

  38. element-123

I Was there tonight in a friend’s box for work… I had great seats I dont usually have and stayed the whole game. The loss sucks but cant expect to win em all. 2 goals allowed should be enough to win most games, and Daws has been solid the last three. Im turning my focus to Saturday as a serious division must win. Don’t lost faith, brothers. LGD

  39. Fisktor

So defence got tighter but we lost all offence….

  40. ExpensiveChemical985

Why can’t this team get a fucking loser point, it helps in the standings tremendously. Even during the decade of darkness those teams could grind to OT.
