  1. HOLY CRAP… I was scared out of my boots it was gonna be 7 X 7. If it's really 5 years at 6 million I'd say Benning deserves a clap for not setting us up with another Eriksson monstrosity.

  2. Another bad contract it's pretty much like Eriksson except 1 less year. Myers is most likely going to useful 2 maybe 3 years of his deal and after that he'll be a liability. I don't see him lasting in the nhl much longer

  3. 5 years at 6 mill for a top 4 dman and one of the top free agents is a great deal for the Canucks especially when the reports were as high as 50 mill for 7 years. Term is solid and salary of this deal is perfect.

Benn signing I like the depth and grit on the back end and provides insurance in case of injuries which we know Canucks always have every year.

    Playoffs here we come!

  4. Really??? If he does, it would be a very good deal actually. I heard he wanted 7M for 7-8 years

  5. I love this signing as we needed a right handed defenseman behind Tanev. Obviously it isn’t ideal for a top 4 defenseman but it’s the price we have to pay to get back to the playoffs. Let’s go Nucks!

  6. with all the overpayed players so far i think this is a pretty good deal. not too long and not a crazy price. we need size on the back end too. i like it

  7. what do i think?

I think you got out of bed at 10pm after your wife was asleep, to slide into a long rail of schnee off the kitchen counter.

  8. Yes we need big defenceman. Myers is solid. Tired of fuckers taking liberties at us. Benn also good.

  9. reasonable and him and quinn Hughes together (pending what travis green does) I think will be an interesting combo and I also think our lineup for our dmen is way better compared to last year

  10. The devil is in the details. If it is a no trade clause contract, it is fail. This is Loui Erikson 2.0 if it is a no trade clause deal. Myers is a number 4 D-man and will help out short term, but Canucks only need him for two years and hopefully he gets picked up by Seattle if left unprotected. Should be enough depth at D and forward to make playoffs if they can sign Boeser to a decent deal, as well as Hutton and Schen on the cheap to round out the depth.
