Besides the memory-lane aspect of this story, this injury is just another piece of narrative that contributes to 'Chevy the Master Planner' type narrative – I mean, it was SLIIIGHTLY controversial to buy Blake out, losing money and then watch as BW plays on the first line of a cup contender. But once again, somehow, Chevy just appears to be the perfect horse trader, just knowing exactly when to hold 'em, when to fold 'em, time the moves, buy players out, wait out other GMs.

  2. To be honest, this is the only past Jets player I keep tabs on, and watch his game. This really does suck…

  3. Wheels and his family have been friends of friends for a long time. He's a true gentleman. Wish him all the best. Such a warrior!

  4. Wheeler worked his ass off to earn the C in Winnipeg. He lost some teeth in a mid-season game against the oilers. That’s how he played. ❤

  5. It's ironic that the Rangers and the Jets have the very same points percentage as of the time of publication.

  6. I absolutely love Wheeler. This really sucks. Personally, I can't see him coming back from this.
