No way they will win the cup.
I 100% believe the Oilers AND the Leafs CANNOT win a cup this year due too the current Oilers goaltending, and the Leafs defense. Goaltending wins games (look at what marky did last year for Vancouver) and Toronto will run out of gas like they always do because you do not have any support from the blue line. I mean the Leafs have already begun to try and deepen the blue line.
The Oilers SHOULD make the playoffs. But I don’t see them being good enough to win the Stanley Cup. I believe they can win when their top defense prospects are here, and when they get a TRUE #1 goalie.

Oilers for sure will make the playoffs. I think they are a cup contender too with their performance this season. Last year, They weren't as solid but now with those extra players and extra help on goaltending, Smith and Stalock can be solid for them. They can win the cup if they strive hard. Draisaitl and McDavid isn't the only ones carrying the team even tho they are a big chunk of the team's success. Defense solid. Barrie and Nurse is an A. If they had kelfbom, Defense A+

I'm a pure oilers fan, live in Edmonton but I'm sorry….we are better off without Klefbom and I hope he never plays for us again….and our real rock(and from my hands this sounds weird to type) is Larrson…not knocking the growth Nurse has taken this year and giant leap or Barrie for what he has brought, but Klefbom….he isn't missed at all

Smith is like a top 15 goalie in the league right now… I mean there’s not much you can ask for. People shit on him too much and look Over the fact that he has been exceptional! But for the future of this team the oilers are truely 1 younger starting goalie and another forward who can give use 50-60 points and the oilers have a cup contending team. All imo ofc🤷🏼♂️

Here after watching game 2 of the playoffs. Edmonton needs better defence and depth. At the time this vid was recorded our defence was pretty good, but now they’re starting to slip. This year I don’t have much hope that Edmonton will win, but next year with Phillip Broberg and Dylan Holloway coming to the team and with Edmonton finally playing Stalock, we could be contenders next year or the year after. They’re headed in the right direction but they’re not quite there yet.
