I can’t believe how good our top line is right now. They’re constantly pressuring, all three are scoring, and it’s honestly pretty tough to say who’s contributing most. The chemistry is ridiculous.

It’s been said a lot, but Suzuki is 24, Caufield is 23, and Slafkovsky is 19. Two of those three are already locked up long-term for less than $16 million combined. I’m really getting my hopes up here on what this can be.

12 million bucks per year for the next 3 years on anderson and gallagher is roughhhhhh

  3. RikNasty2Point0

Love to see the Slaf fire. His hunger is not satiated

  4. ObverseNebula

I’ll take losses like that all season long.

Top line looked amazing and it was fun

  5. Macksterr24

Good effort Habs, I hope you all sleep well, and good luck in the next one!!!

  6. what a game!

Slaf and Nick stay hot, the team battled hard and never gave up

  7. Longshanks123

Slaf had some net there, that’s why he’s mad … knowing Slaf he won’t miss that one next time

  8. Habslover

Ref fucked us with that ‘ »icing » whistle ffs

  9. fortytwoanswers

Point streaks for Slaf and Suzuki continue and the tank rolls on, I’m okay with this game. It’s at least fun to watch these games!!

  10. Beefiest_bison

Matheson passing to Slaf for one timers with the goalie pulled, good stuff. 1st line was good again and i’ve liked Newhook since he’s come back.

  11. IcyChard4

I’m still proud of our boy’s performance despite the defensive lapses. Anyway, kudos again to the 1st line for that powerplay (Slafkovsky’s 18th pt. and Suzuki’s 20th goal), also good goals with Arber Xhekaj and Alex Newhook.

    A loss is a loss.

  12. Dexteris

A big thumbs up to Xhekaj. He played a really good game tonight. Gotta build on that X!

    Newhook looks good so far

    GG

At the Bell centre tonight! Good game live! Slaf looks amazing in person and Matheson will won’t pass to him lmao. My record at habs games is now 5-1 🙁

  14. AmsroII

Great game from the future of this team! Love to see it and the regulation loss is another step to a better pick.

Slaf streak continues, Zuke hits 20 goals, Alex and Arber score their first goals of 2024. See you next game!

  15. RoboticAnatomy

Damn, what an exciting finish!! Some great saves at the end by Kuemper. First line is still clicking and Newhook is back bb! :D.

Regulation loss that wasn’t a blowout! Perfect night for the tank

  16. zouhair

Anderson needs to be benched for an extended period of time, the sunk cost fallacy with him is insane.

  17. davefromgabe

I’m starting to get *really* excited for next season, when we shed some of the dead weight, and have talent playing at appropriate places in the lineup. Plus whatever shiny new toy Went Wughes gets us this draft, Reinbacher, and Hutson…..

  18. JacP123

This isn’t even a game I’m mad about losing.

Yea, it wouldve been nice for them to tie it at the end, but the top line is fucking PUMPING and that’s all I really care about right now.

    Point streaks go brrrrrr

  19. JamJam130

    Perfect tank game 👌🏻

Boys battled hard and the young guns looked fantastic

  20. Delicious-Ganache606

First full Habs game I’ve seen this season. I knew Slaf would be good based on numbers alone, but holy shit. You can feel his presence on the ice, not just by what he does but also by what he allows his teammates to do. That is going to be one elite NHLer.

  21. Olibro64

Honestly that game was a bit stale to me. Not upset over the loss, but felt there could have been more energy. Good to see the Sheriff get a goal after so long and the 1st line getting a point.

    They kept fighing back though.

  22. AnxiousAstronaut

Send Josh down for a stint. Dudes just coasting doesn’t appreciate his position.

  23. sean_psc

The top line could have easily had a few more goals tonight, they’re always fun to watch. Glad Newhook scored; he’s been playing well since he came back, it’s just somewhat unfortunate that we’re going to have to keep playing him at centre for the rest of the season for lack of other options, because he’s better as a winger.

When the season is over, can we please fire the D-zone coach?

  24. Leading-Sugar-5015

Anderson is so hard to watch. He doesn’t create anything on offense and is a huge liability in his own zone

  25. Newhook goal, Slafzuki points, Wifi goal, Armia continues to produce… I’m ok with losses like that.

  26. lacoupe25

Struble, Savard and Evans had 3 of the 10 worst game scores of any Hab player all season. Out of 990 player-games this season to date. And Savard has 4 of the worst 10 performances.

  27. I honestly really like the newhook roy and armia line

  28. sean_psc

Semi-off-topic: Monahan just got his first Jets goal!
