The fuck? That looked straight up incidental. r/hockey happy I guess.

Evangelista was at fault here and embellished the fuck out of that little poke he got.
donnie_does_machines
Ironic because even the Binnington haters in r/hockey were like “would love to drag him for this but that was clearly incidental during a post tap.”

Pretty obviously accidental, but I get the fine. They’ve been cracking down on high sticks

So, the moral of the story is to skate up behind the goaltender into his stick. You’ll not only get a power play out of it but the goaltender will be fined for standing in his crease.
Ridiculous.

Does anyone have a link to it by chance?

Binnington has earned fines before. This time is unjust.

Unbelievable. 0 intentions on that one

I may be biased but it just seems he has to have eyes in the back of his head for that to be intentional. And there’s definitely a ton of bias in reactions accusing him, every single one includes an insult towards. I understand he has a reputation but it’s clearly the only thing shaping these views, not the actual play.

Bullshit

It’s all in the NHL script. Binner has been far too tame this season, needed to spice it up for the dramatic effect

Ehh, he may have meant to do it and I do not care.
archboy1971
Totally unintentional- the penalty was unnecessary but the fine is just stupid.
