Twitter : https://twitter.com/DeanerHd

  1. a real entertaining game. glad we play these guys a couple more times. next 6 games are against good teams. we'll see what we have here at the end of the month.

  2. I really enjoyed seeing the second unit power play out there last night. Sure the results don’t show but it’s evident that they get the puck on net a lot more than PP1. Sometimes you gotta just take some shots rather than pass it around 15 something times only to then lose possession

  3. hate to be negative but its games like this that make me doubt our longevity in the playoffs, we need the top guys to step up with these big teams.

  4. Makes me doubt our playoff success….but i keep saying to myself that against another cup contending team you need to be at least 500 against them in a season series. So we'll see what happens again against the jets and avalanche the bruins etc

  5. Miller and Boeser look a bit lethargic in their skating so maybe some line juggling to get more speed and balanced minutes in each of the top three lines would re-energize them.

  6. As someone who's fallen victim to their own ambitions at one point or another, I think it's becoming noticeable that these Canucks want the playoffs almost a little bit too much. We're seeing such a stark contrast between the pedestrian Canucks of last year and the laser-focused Canucks of this year that it could be possible that this is what happens when all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I'd speculate that the locker room needs a bit of that Brucie-esque flair added to it now that we've got the boys in a fundamentally correct mindset. I mean, let's face it, they may have laid an egg last year but they were still having much more fun playing with Bruce than they are right now.

  7. Our big guys need to get it done. Pete Miller Brock Hughes Lindholm being held pointless in a playoff type game is unacceptable

  8. The special teams let us down hard this game. I can’t lie, 2 of those jets powerplays were pretty questionable imo (and they scored on them too but at that point it is what it is innit, we couldn’t kill the pen :/) but as a whole, the supposed “big dawgs” were nearly nowhere to be found in this rather high-stakes game except Hughes I noticed he was locked in a lot of the time… I love this team but my god the powerplay MUST be better and we can’t keep relying on our bottom 6 to be better than the other team’s bottom 6 when these tough games come around. Doesn’t help Hellebuyck was a wall either. We need more consistency from the top 6. Pretty disappointed with this game. Hopefully the boys use this as a turning point to understand what’s expected of a playoff calibre team to be successful.

  9. I went through the Canucks schedule and besides 2 games if the opponent scores 4 or more goals they lose. I thought that was kinda interesting.

  10. This game had some feeling & emotions to it and I was fine losing this game. Canucks just ran into a goalie named Hellebuyck and he was pretty good… Power play needs major work though that’s what lost us the game imo.

  11. I thought the Canucks played pretty well overall, but yes, some missed opportunities. Hellebuck is so good you need bodies in front and tips.

  12. Why do you have the channel listed as a hockey page but it’s literally all just about canucks and every game you review it’s biased towards canucks. Nucks looked good in the first but the lowry hit and fight the tide completely shifted. Jets dominated the high danger chances and possession. Canucks played a good game but jets wanted it more and played better. Just because shots are more in favour of one team doenst mean they are dominating the game. The reason the jets have the best defensive system in the league this season is because they allow teams to shoot from bad angles and from the outside, which is why hellebuyck is having a vezina calibre season, Great goalie facing very low % shots is why they had a 34 game streak with 3 goals or less and half of that was 2 goals or less

  13. BIG BIG WIN FOR THE JETS! I knew from the start this would be a very entertaining game. Both teams played well. Hope to see more fun games like this in the future!
