  1. They’re getting ahead of themselves 😂
They’re not contenders… yet. Zero playoff experience with this core.

  2. Hot Take on top, as usual. They just never talk hockey on Detroit radio….. I just have to tune in to John. PS Vancouver Jim Rutherford The Oil Ken Holland. This has to be 🇨🇦 Canada's year….before these jokers expand to Houston or Salt Lake City…..

  3. Why the Habs did not sign Kessel shows that Gorton has 0 plan. Kessel was the perfect veteran candidate to take Media Heat off Suzuki and Caufield. Plus Habs fan would get KesselEntertainment and could play Phil vs Leafs and Pens for good laughs.

  4. For Kessel. It’s a free player at league min and you need bodies in the playoffs. I see why not. I never understood why fans are opposed to that. If it doesn’t work, put him on waivers.

As for Risto??? That makes no sense to me.

Canucks want the cap space this offseason to sign Petey, Lindholm, and Hronek. On top I think they’re looking to keep Joshua, Lafferty, and Blueger.

(Unless Mikheyev is the contract going back, and I still don’t like the deal, it just doesn’t make much sense to me.)

  5. My brother idk if you been watching much of the Canucks the Garland Bluegar and joshua line will not get split up arguably the best like on the team idk where Phill fits in jonestly but i would love the addition also i think Ristolinen would be a awsome pickup but we have no cap his contract is hugeeee plus we dont know what Pettey wants and Lindholm i do think were gonna go after a bottom 6 tough guy for the 4th line and a rhd defencman. honestly this season is amazing hype asf for every game GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!

  6. I think Risto could be somewhat of a fit in Ottawa if they can't get Tanev. Just speculation, but I wonder if Staios considered someone like him

  7. Ristolainen isn't the type of player I'd be looking at in Vancouver. He's big, but overpaid and a defensive liability. Defence wins championships and if the Canucks are looking for any additions, it should be a Chris Tanev type who can be had for a reasonable price. A pure shutdown defenseman who blocks shots, has sound positioning and doesn't make very many mistakes. It sounds great to bring in these taller guys, but if they're going to turn the puck over, don't have the foot speed to come back or get themselves suspended, they're not very helpful. As for Kessel, he might be helpful on the PP as a specialist, but at his age, he's never really been known for his defensive play, and his offence has all but dried up. Maybe if he accepts league minimum, the Canucks can take a flyer on him. Other than that, I don't see a fit. The danger in adding more size and grit is that you run the risk of undisciplined play at the worst possible time. I read fan comments all the time saying the Canucks need more gritty players. Zadorov just got suspended. You have to be very careful with things like that.
