I liked Matthew’s demeanor last 2 games and his double hat-tricks, lazer focus. Obviously he’s having a monster year and dominating the goal scoring race but winning games is the end game here. I found the young core at one point this season was playing for themselves (Stats and Highlights) and forgetting closing out games.
After the Ottawa game I feared the Leafs would get distracted but that’s isn’t the case. Apparently they don’t need Rielly that bad just yet. The media made it seem like they would be able to win any games during his suspension.
