He’s probably going to get blasted for this but I don’t think his broad point is entirely wrong. The Sabres have improved a lot of their underlying numbers they set out to but their shooting % has regressed. I don’t think it comes back out of thin air but the potential for it to come back isn’t lost.

My divorced friend, « She’s gonna come back at some point. »

Are you still an unemployed alcoholic with anger issues? « Well, yes… »

    She never came back.

Why are we still talking about this guy?

What changes have been made this year — and I don’t mean juggling the lines and playing goalie roulette.

What has this guy done differently? How has he grown? Was this his strategy when we had slow start after slow start? “It’s all gonna fix itself eventually!”

It’s beyond time to blow up the management of this team. We have a couple decent pieces and some questionable contracts, but whatever, it’s time to move on. We don’t have to just sit on our hands. This team is regressing in every possible way and they’re pretending it’s not.

I’d respect them more if they brought in a yelling old school anti-analytics coach to finish the season. At least then we could weed out which kids out there are not serious about hockey. With the current coach, I’m beginning to think it’s all of them.

This Wild/Canucks game is wild…Minny has scored 5 goals in under 5 minutes😲

Yeah because thats exactly how that works

One of these years it’s gonna be our turn and we’re gonna open the rink and the stanley cup fairy will have left us a stanley cup and we’ll be stanley cup champions! I’m really excited to be part of this organization that’s so good at patiently waiting for their turn unlike some other impolite organizations that I could name who try too hard. Really kinda embarrassing for them, don’t you think?

Can’t wait any longer there Don.

I think you have to go get it, Don, rather than wait for it to come to you.

Is this what he repeats to himself in the mirror over and over every night? Sort YOUR FUCKING TEAM OUT.

I like Don and what he did the past few years but it’s time for a change. I have a hard time making sense of their power play being putrid because they practice their defense now. Let alone the fact that they are still a mess in their own zone, their best players look like shells of themselves, etc.

Yeah the rest of the league better watch out. Once we’re Mathematically eliminated from the playoffs we’re going to be putting up TONS of goals

  12. CannaCanadia

It will. I dunno but I’m 33 and 13 years ain’t shit to me. I guess I have had to deal with far worse than my favourite sports team not making the playoffs…

We were awesome to watch even as recent as last year and this season we only get glimpses of awesome but it’s still sort of there. I think Donny is right about this.

Do I have an exciting badass team that’s fun to watch and am I proud to represent them in other arenas and bars? Can they light up any team in the league on any given day? That’s the team I want, and we have elements of that kind of team.

Joke of a Coach, Let these players skid on your 3rd rebuild/tool. Never hold them accountable and just make sure their feelings aren’t hurt.

  14. LaruePDX

Bahaha… did he seriously say that?!? So now the strategy is wishful thinking.

If this clown isn’t fired after we miss the playoffs yet again then I give up on this team, and hell why shouldn’t I? Most of our players give up on our team night after night.

Pegula is so fucking lucky the Bills are good right now(well, a playoff team atleast) otherwise he’d be easily considered the worst owner in sports. I’d say Kim was the brains behind the operation but it’s not like we were any good while she was meddling either(I hope she’s getting better health wise though)

In a league where half of the teams make the playoffs every year it almost takes effort to miss the playoffs for over a decade-15 years.
