Letang, and I don’t think it’s particularly debatable.

It’s definitely Tanger. I think these 4 plus him are a lock for retired numbers (and now both of the “retired” players have been). Fleury is one I could see going either way, and I wouldn’t be super upset about whichever route they go. I get both sides

Just in a Pens uniform:
5629 reg season points
700 post season points
10 collective Stanley Cup wins
2 Calders
7 Harts
14 Art Rosses
10 Pearsons
5 Conn Smythe’s
3 Rocket Richards
1 Masterson
27 All-star appearances
1HOF, 3 future locks
4 members of the top 101 of all time
That’s a lot of firepower across 292 jersey numbers.
We’re spoiled.

Francis is probably the next best player but he only scored roughly 600 of his almost 1,800 points here.
So I think it has to go to Letang.

Either Buzz Flibbet or Mark Donk…hard to choose between those two studs.

Gary Rissling.
No, seriously – Fleury, Barrasso, or Letang

For me it’s Francis and it’s not that close. Letang has the longevity and was big on the 2016 cup run but didn’t factor in much in 09 and 17, nor does he have the individual awards that Francis won while he was here, though he does have more all star appearances. You could say the sum of Letang’s contribution is greater in totality over time, but Francis’s star shown the brightest in the offensive explosion that was the 90’s Pens.

For now, this is the Rushmore. Let’s face it, these are the superstars. Obviously there’s other talent and cup players, but if these duos aren’t the ones that sold the most tickets and jerseys I don’t know who would be.
Does this picture fit in the sidebar? It’s been kind of intense with all the Jagr and Mario videos I’ve been watching, and a good escape from current feelings with the team as a whole. I legit feel like a kid again watching the old games and highlights. Nothing to shake a stick at- the Pens “back catalog” of championship level hockey.

Did they make Letang take the picture?
