Hannifin says he wants to go to Tampa which is neither here nor there because Tampa might not even want him so that would kill all of that.
Why is he only being considered to be a rental?
Any team that really wants him long term only has to offer Conroy a trade with the contingency that Conroy gives them permission to talk to Hannifin to attempt to get him to commit to signing long term.
Hannifin can say no if he wants to and then thats the end of that.
Hannifin only has a partial "no trade" clause. Conroy needs to know which teams Hannifin might except in a "trade and sign". Seems like Hannifin doesn't want to shit and doesn't want to get off the pot.
