No shot we retain half of wenny’s salary to give to another team; that’d be the last thing we need to do. If they don’t want to pay for him in full, I doubt the Kraken are going to sell him off cheap.

Wennberg will be an asset wherever he goes.

I’ll be honest even though I’m a Rangers fan I don’t keep track of the ins and outs of most of the lineup, I have a few favorite players and that’s mainly it. If they need a defensive forward it could be fun to watch Wenny play for them. Provided they don’t have another embarrassing first round exit that involves Igor Shesterkin throwing his mask in rage and yelling at the bench to get them to score 😂 oh Igor you poor thing. Thank God you have Quick now to help bear that burden 😂

Anyway. I would be a little bummed to see Wennberg go though. He would definitely be a rental, they have like, negative cap space due to a bunch of long contracts with no move clauses 😬 but this is just a rumor so we’ll see

If he fetches a first round pick at half retained you have to send him out..the Rangers may need a 3 team deal to shed another half of that salary however which may impact the return overall.

This is false news as the unwritten NHL rule stipulates no player whose Bobblehead is distributed can be traded in same season! /s

Would love to see it. As much as it pains me to cheer for any team with Jonathan Quick on the roster, I think NY has a decent shot at going all the way, and I’m already pulling for my boy Vinny to lift that cup!

Would be amazing to see Wennberg do it too!
