If we could dump Grz and Lauko for Tarasenko at 50% retained, Forbort and like a 6th for Duclair, and Debrusk for Tanev, keeping Wotherspoon in the lineup I think it would really make us a legit contender. Very loose basis for what it would cost to get those guys but I think it could work

One of the major problems: Bergeron retired. Puzzle pieces fall much more into place if he plays one more season. But you cant blame him, he fought his fair share of battles, just sucks cause i thought for sure he'd suit up for one more year.

Love the discussion about the lineup and the teams system, but one thing I’m randomly wondering…. is it the analytics or do you genuinely think Zacha is bad defensively. I understand the aspects like back checking and d zone coverage that are hard to pick for individual players unless they’re doing it really well, but I think his rush defense and positioning in the middle of the ice is very good. His speed allows for good defensive recoveries for pinching defensemen, especially when we’re on the power play. Responsible with the puck and also plays on the pk. I have seen him struggle to clear the puck at times on 5 vs 6 and 4 vs 5 but really that’s it. What are his faults defensively?
