   I remember screaming.

   Was happy that Kaner would be leaving for the sake of him getting to play meaningful hockey elsewhere as it would’ve been tough to see him waste his twilight years here on a rebuilding team. This moment had a surreal « Let’s give them one last thing to cheer for » vibe about it that was very Patrick Kane-esque. Shame it didn’t count but I still view it as a positive little closing of his story here.
