Switching between the Sens-Panthers' and Canucks-Avs' game meant jumping out for a bit too long to stay for the end of the livestream. That said, I found the earlier game entertaining and so far have also found the latter entertaining. Sens will be leaving the state of Florida with 3 out of a possible 4 points. Whether the Canucks will leave Ball Arena (Avs) with a point or 2 also remains TBD, with the Avs up 2-1 on the Nucks with 17:09 to go in the 3rd period of that game. On that note I plan to look for Canucks' postgame streams.
Norris and Batherson are grossly overpaid.
Say what you want…..the boys, minus Nooris, Kubalik…..played some damn good hockey. It's the Panthers man and they held their own. It's not about making the playoffs this year anymore, it's about rooting out years of bad habits, creating structure, chemistry, consistency etc. and I'm starting to see all of these things under JM take form. Get playoffs out of your heads and start looking at the positive changes.
I'd really love to see the stats on how often Korpisalo lets in a goal on one of the first 3 shots.. I feel like there's at least 12 losses where he just immediately gave the game away. hard for the team morale to not fall apart where it keeps happening over and over and over.
I think he's legitimately the worst goalie we've had in the last decade.
– Defence just isn't good enough to be a contender. The lack of depth on the blueline is evident in this loss. The mistakes they make reflect on the whole team.
– Korpisalo played really good, but Bobrovsky is elite level when he is on. Honestly, if Forsberg was starting. Ottawa isn't getting one point.
The 1st 2 goals weren't even Korpisalo's fault. They were deflections that changed direction at the very last second. The plays happened because of bad defence. I know Korpisalo defaulted to instinct on the 3rd goal.
– In overtime, Florida overwhelmed the Senators. It was obvious that they were trying to end this quick when they started 3 forwards.
Its amazing how the sens can stop the panthers from getting a single shot for 12+mins. But everyone holds their breath when korpi has to face a shot.
