Tonight confirmed what we already knew: the Capitals need to trade Lindgren, and the Devils need to trade for a goalie. Giving up 6 goals to Washington on 26 shots (and none of the goals were empty netters) is pathetic. Lindgren looked fantastic, and the Capitals need to capitalize on his trade value.

The Capitals are a better team with Sgarbossa at center than they are with Kuznetsov at center. I am glad that Sgarbossa is finally getting a chance. I hope that the Capitals trade Mantha and give Dube or Frank a chance on the McMichael-Protas line.
If the Capitals don't trade Dowd this season (which they might not be able to, depending on how bad his injury was tonight), I hope that they trade him in the offseason and give Sgarbossa a chance as a 3C or 4C behind Strome, McMichael, and Kuznetsov (I am not delusional enough to think that the Capitals will be able to trade Kuznetsov).

Devils nee more than just a goalie, they need a Dman who is a PP dude, cuz holy moly The devs PP is awful went from 1st to what 15th now. Defense sold the Devils, but caps played great, they deserved that win and Devils are missing playoff with or without trades. Pin this.
