I will never not watch this all the way through. This is one of those core memories that I will always remember EXACTLY where I was when it happened. Down to the seats in the bar we were sitting in that night lol

Dang. I remember watching at a friend’s house, and it was the last time we got together for a long while due to COVID hitting the fan soon after.

Watching this again made me realize that the only two defensemen from that team who still play for us are Slavin and Pesce. TVR, Fleury, Edmunson, and Gardiner are all either out of the league or playing elsewhere. Crazy how much can change in just 4 years

Still hoping they release the full game footage for this one day. It’s a top 3 game of all time (for the Canes) imo. Watching how the team stepped up in the 3rd was just incredible.

What a game and range of emotions. I nearly turned it off after they announced Ayres was coming in, called it an early intermission after the first two goals against, start of the third I said screw it we ride or die so I turned the game back on and watched with my eyes halfway closed when the leafs had the puck. (especially since a few weeks prior to this the Leafs and Canes combined for like 15 goals in a Leafs win)

Fun fact: That night was also the only night Vasilevsky let in 7 goals in his career.
