    The main difference between Boston this year and last is their defense, even though the first quarter of this season they still were playing with the same defensive intensity, and they have definitely lost it, and Ive yet to see it come back. I know they didnt play tonight but one thing needs to be said about the NY Rangers 8 game winning streak, the big rap on the Rangers the last 3 years is that they are mediocre at 5 on5 and if you stay out of the penalty box you can beat them. The Rangers PP during the last 10 games has taken a deep nosedive and yet they still have their longest win streak of the season. I think thats an indication that maybe they will show something different this year.

    I watched the Flyers vs Blackhawks game through the second period and was yelling at the defense for the Blackhawks, they hung Soderblom out to dry alot, especially in the second period.

    The Flyers this year…… and what's up with this Ersson kid? I do love the idea of declining the powerplay. I love how you do the "does it suck" for them in particular, haha

    Agreed with philly power play! It still sucks! They should be able to decline or even go shorthanded instead since the PK is so good!

    My thoughts, Lets wait till after the Calgary game, a revenge game from February 6, Boston was ran out of their own rink by the Flames, was not pretty, of course They have them on the back end of a back to back, Wouldnt have it any other way .

    Other than the goal-scorers, UPL and Greenway came up huge all night. That 2nd MTL goal came off an own-deflection. After that, UPL continued to have a busy night.

    I love Lohrei. Next season I am hoping he’ll be a mainstay on the roster alongside Beecher and maybe Wotherspoon. Hopefully Lysell and Merkulov get a look as well.

    Oilers score one goal. fine. Not ideal. two… oh fuck… bruins score. YAY! oilers score a 3rd and then I'm sitting there like… this motherfucking game is about to go to overtime, isn't it… holy shit.

    I know it's the oilers. I know you're down a couple guys but they need to figure something out because the skid of losses right along side with their random desire to play overtime games is brutal.

    frustrating loss as a Ducks fan last night. Not that Im not happy for the regulation loss because of the draft lottery but it just doesnt sit right that we managed to lose by 3 after coming back from 4-0

    The FLYERS are hands down the worst passing team in any hockey league. Way too many cross ice passes that not only don't get there but they try them so many times the other team are now waiting for them!

    Gibby did not look good. Too many mistakes at the net. Crazy game for sure and after the momentum change in the 2nd, I thought it was the Ducks game for sure. It turned out to be their game to lose. Oh well.

    Yes, Lohrei belongs in the lineup! The kid has been doing his part, and others in the defense have been lacking. Give him the minutes

    Man… the Oilers need to get their pk going, and figure out this 2nd period problem. They're in deep trouble if they don't. And will be terrifyingly tough to stop if they do… what a strange season.

    When you look at the Oilers game please comment on how much “abuse” McDavid received? John Shannon in the 2nd intermission opined on this and frankly I saw none of the atrocities he claiims occurred. McDavid attempted a spin move but fell backward? But it was called a trip? I did observe McDavid Cross check someone in the face and most critically in the 3rd he gets away with a cross check to the back in the corner that lead to a turn over and the puck ended up in the net. Late in a tied game the ref gives the Oilers yet another PP when Van Riemsdyck falls forward and an Oiler trips over him? I was surprised b/c usually Ferlatt is not a bad Ref. Please discuss how these events compare to say the Jets who get penalties for being in the vicinity of someone who falls? 2 minutes for looking like you want to compete!

    As a viewer with zero vested interest in either the Bruins or Oilers, that started kind of boring, but sure turned into a hell of a game. That was a fun one.
