  1. Eller, Ned, Reiley Smith all need to go. Ned and eller have both been good for us but we need to ship them off to regain assets

  2. Jake should be traded!!! Trade off anyone with one year left on their contract. And we run with what we have, if we retain salary on those contracts it will give more return. Cap space will be the need next off-season. Oh and a coaching change, apparently that isn't happening this year.

  3. A hypothetical trade on NHL Now had;
    Oilers acquire F Jake Guentzel

    Penguins acquire
    F Warren Foegele
    D Beau Akey
    2024 1st round pick
    2025 3rd round pick
*Penguins retain 50% of Guentzel contract.
Friedman said if the Oilers could re-sign Jake this proposal would be substantially more.
One thing is for certain, Dubas is not even getting out of bed for less…if he doesn’t resign him he will take the $6M in cap space instead.

  4. If we could trade all of them and then have Carter come off the books, we could have a chance to resign Jake this summer along with some other possible big name free agents.

  5. In the playoffs since the last Cup run, Guentzel gets pounded as the refs swallow the whistle. The other team just smothers him with cheap hits and he is too little to do anything about it. The Pens need a net presence that they haven't had since Hornqvist. That is what is killing their power play. No one is big a tough enough to stand in there and keep the goalie from seeing the puck or to battle for ugly goals. They want to score pretty goals. Guentzel will get you pretty goals… but no one will get the ugly ones.
    So he is expendable…

  6. They won cups with a strong bullpen in WB/S to call up. Burke and Hextall gutted the organization.

  7. You guys all under value the Pens assets. The Pens will need to retain 50% but should be able to get a top prospect for Smith. On Ned you look at 4 games. Ridiculous

  8. No video clips or any other photos? That’s lazy shit man. The same photo for the whole video and your voice is boring and sounds like you never played hockey in your life.

  9. Jake should be traded. He will yield the most return. They can always resign him after the season after he gets some other offers. But since he isnt on the team, the max contract would be 7 years. Smith is a good player but its not been a good fit. I am sure he is open to a trade. I am guessing since Ned will be asked for since he is having a bounce back year. Although I would not mind the pens re-signing him. I would not mind them trading POJ either. Eller would be a nice pick up for any team. And he is signed thru next year too.

  10. If they keep jake , would he demand more cap space on a new contract. ? That may degate any cap space they free up and be back at square one

  11. The problem with acquiring new players is that Dubus can not be trusted to make good acquisitions. Just look at his Phillips hire? I thought Malkin should have been traded in the off season while he still had a ton of value. Dubus not having the Pittsburgh ties was the guy do do that. How have the Dubus acquisitions worked out?
I would trade Malkin and Karlsson, and Smith. They could acquire a bunch of talented youth and fix their HUGE problem (Defense) that way.

  12. Pens will never win anything, unless they toughen up, they are pathetic , Crossing the Pens blue line is like a visit to grammas house . The Pens never clear out their net front and never screen the other teams goalie ! Try throwing a body check in your own Zone ,and actually throw a hit . stop using one hand on your stick !
