If Landeskog comes back this season they'll be getting their captain back on a team with MacKinnon, Makar & Rantanen
That would mean 12skilled forwards & 6solid defencemen. Their depth will be un-matched come playoff time
ROFL even with their so called 'elite' defence corps, they're still one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to defending. Look at how many pieces they've lost since their cup run in 2022. They'd need MUCH more than just Landeskog to beat a team like the soilers, let alone the Jets or the Cats
If they get Landeskog and Val back… they are absolutely the favorites
Avs expert here. Landeskog has missed almost 2 years of hockey. Even "if" he was able to play by the playoffs, he'd would be nowhere near top form. His career is in serious jeopardy and probably shouldn't even push it this year and just wait until next season. So as much as I love my Avs, I can tell you Landy won't be much of an impact this year if he even plays. He'll need a whole year to get his game back. Val….nobody knows whats going on with his alcohol drug problems if and when he'll return. If the Avs had a prime healthy Landeskog and Nichushkin, of course the Avs would be a beast. It's so sad the Avs lose 2 of their top 6 forwards due to unfortunate circumstances right in the primes of their dynasty run.
I love how Devon tires gets no love
