  1. I get that we lost one of, if not the best faceoff guy in the league. I get it we are missing our top D man and PP quarterback. I get that you can have a combination of youth/bad luck and go on a stretch like this. But for the love of all that is holy can we get an enforcer on this team?! I’m so tired of seeing the boys get smashed week after week. We need some hands on this team. We need some ugly. No excuses.

  2. honestly talk about ruff all you want(i agree) but the players didn’t benefit from their multiple scoring opportunities

  3. Where was all that tuff guy fake Soprano shit last night ? Where are the sweat suits the guinea tees they were laying on the ice in a pool of blood .The Rangers did learn something from last years lost Punch the Devils right in the mouth loooooong way to go but it felt good putting both little brothers back in there place with a win against the best team in the west thrown in .Let’s go Ranger🤌🤌🤌

  4. Ruff, just be a man like Paul Maurice and resign like him while with with Jets when he said" the players need a new voice and it is time to move on"

  5. Lindy says the same thing after every loss. Where's the accountability? Blaming the media for our PP woes is a total cop out.

  6. Lindy Ruff needs to go. He might make a great coach for a team of older vets, but his coaching style is clearly not working. The players seem miserable (not only after losses, but for much of the season) and constantly scared of making mistakes. Worried about being bag-skated half to death by a fuming Ruff maybe?

Mistakes will happen. This is a young team, settling into a rebuild, full of rookies learning to adjust to the league, schedule, physical toll, etc. all among pressure to live up to last season, injuries, and Ruff’s wild line changes. Look at the shot count in this game – 40 to 18. Yes, it’s the score that matters at the end. The shooting % of almost all of the top 3 lines has been on a downswing. Seems to be an issue with player confidence and direction, not a lack of effort. That’s on Ruff. Players make a mistake and Ruff is quicker to bench them than offer guidance and correction and rebuild their confidence.

I swear Ruff chooses the D and F lines by throwing a stack of trading cards in the air and catching them blindfolded. Luke Hughes played at his best this season after a few games of consistent lines. (But the PP that’s been abysmal? Nahhh keep it as-is.)

Also find it strange that Schmid was not kept up for this game (though I understand Ruff may have had little say in that.) Yes, his stats have been less than impressive but given his performance against the Rangers last year, wouldn’t you want him as a backup option at least? Daws went 18 games without playing, and this is his, what, 7th start? I think most near-rookie goalies would have issues with fatigue (and not being pulled mid game vs. Washington probably didn’t help his confidence.)

As a fan disappointed in this season (and at times, screaming-at-the-TV-enraged). As a human being (and a fan who wants long-term success and a dynasty era) I’m mad ~for~ our players. They deserve better. This is a crazy talented team, and I believe they’re willing to do what it takes to get a cup within the next couple seasons. Just not under Ruff.

  7. If the Devils miss the playoffs this year but that is what it takes to get Ruff away from this club, I will consider the year a success.

  8. LMAO this team is bad. Got punched in the mouth by their archrival at home and no response. Pathetic as hell

  9. Luke is so soft. Don’t know how he thinks he has the right to show so much attitude after a pitiful ass performance like that. Fire Lindy and send Luke down

  10. Lindy blaming the reporters, Luke Hughes can't play defense, Jack throwing tantrums on the ice, the powerplay sucks, Timo Meier being a massive disappointment, tons of injuries, Hischier's offense taking a big dip from last season and Vitek and Schmid can't stop a beach ball. Man this season has been a nightmare!

  11. I'm Sick and tired of these interviews. They make me angry. As a Devils fan I know we are finished. All that talent is wasted. Shame on the coach and the management. The team is good at loosing and worst of all they except it.

  12. the leash he has for Luke Hughes compared to Alex Holtz is wild especially considering how well Holtz is playing in limited time and how miserably Luke is playing with more ice time each game

  13. NHL does not want Philly in playoffs … devils can do this. Getting close. Just recall last year when everyone was 2way players. Stop all plays and we usually do so much when devils have puck. Igor is good, that’s all

  14. Ruff needs to put the "chemistry" 4 lines that has worked in the PAST; or you will stay in LAST!
    1st line: Nico & Timo & Mercer
2nd line: Bratt & Jack & Lazar (the speed)
3rd line: Haula & Tiffoli & Palat (the grind)
4th line: rotating the 1st line with the youth to keep the greed & speed; that's all you need!
D lines need to be changed to:
    1st pair: Marino & Nemec
    2nd pair: Bahl & Miller
    3rd pair: Luke & Smitty
Rotating; Seg #71 & the leftover D that have youth & speed.

Curtis Lazar better be in on the PK & PP!

The Kid Schmid should be rotating with
    Nico Daws
You are overworking & overplaying the same goaltender!

Get an experienced SC Goaltender at the midseason trade deadline, NOT Markstrom!! John Gibson??

  15. You need an elite 2way wingman with speed & net crashing skills; Julien Gauthier
    NYI.
Goaltending is atrocious because you are NOT ROTATING the G's: overplayed is a GKill!
Get an experienced SC Goaltender at the trade deadline: John Gibson? NOT MARKSTROM!
Put the "Chemistry" lines back together from the PAST: or you will NOT LAST!
