This is awesome!! Thanks Jonesy!! Nice to hear from the boss the direction of the team and honesty about potential moves and player evaluations. The Eagles could learn something from your openness and honesty!!
Jonesy is a gem.
Jones is masterful in sales. Makes you feel the players he is clearly wanting to move are so good he almost has to keep them. Well done.
I have met Travis Konecny many times in the public, away from the rink, and I have to say that he has changed and matured as a person since becoming a father. It's nice to see, he's a very good guy and I'm glad the Flyers organisation is seeing that too. There were rumours prior to him being elevated about a possible trade involving him, and I'm glad the organisation see's him as a core player. I've always said it, I even told him one time and he laughed, TK is very similar to Brad Marchand, and that's a good thing! The fact that his mouth never stops on the ice when he's getting on the nerves of his opponents is hilarious, he's a perfect Flyers instigator!
K.J. and D.B. lead us to the light.
Worst case scenario: Flyers play well until March 8, mistakenly trade future assets at deadline to build up for playoffs, then collapse and miss the playoffs.
Best case scenario: Flyers hold on to make playoffs without trading away any future assets, then get absolutely throttled by Rangers, Canes, Bruins, or Panthers in round 1.
