The current day game hockey fights are not really good. Most of the time, it winds up being a hugfest. This tilt was legit. It brought me back to the 90s-era of hockey fights.
The Rangers 4th line is 19' 6" tall..
It seems the Rangers have declared war for the playoffs.

DLo grabbed shorts to take Kempe down. That said, it was a great hockey fight better than any suckerpunch scrum. DLo gets a ton of respect from this Ranger fan. DLo went over to Kempe during warmups and talked about dropping gloves… they BOTH SMILED and accepted. BETTMAN BEWARE. This is exactly the type of hockey fight that old school fans and retired players want to see; not the BETTMAN SCRUM CIRCUS ON ICE.
(According to an interview Sam Rosen had, Kempe admitted to being 6' 8 1/2"; a full inch and a half taller than his NHL posted stat). Game winning goal. Faceoff win. Huge gentleman's fight.

A breath of fresh air ! it’s nice to see old school hockey despite the push from the NHL and USA hockey to transition to strictly a finesse game. Hockey is a rough, tough sport and always has been. I like the skilled guys , but there needs to be a mix of finesse and brute, Maybe the pushback from the players wanting to keep it that way , will prevent the NHL from turning this league into the NFL… a once rough and tough league gone soft , who is more concerned with dancing and celebrating then playing football.
Kid is a beast and looks happy as can be. Best part about this has been 2 respected fighters welcoming Rempe to the big leagues. This is part of what the non hockey world never seems to understand about respect in this game.
