  1. Quite the ceremony, and deserved. We saw Kid Rock, The Great One, Eddie Vedder, Dennis Rodman, Carrot Top and others..

  2. What’s crazy about Chelios is he went to the Wings when people thought he was prob close to retiring and then he ended up playing like 10 more years because he’s a mad man.

  3. The NHL needs to bring this rivalry back.. It's a travesty that they reshuffled the league and ruined one of the best rivalries in all of sports!

  4. I saw Chelios's entire Blackhawks career through the eyes of a 7 – 16 year old kid. This dude is a legend.

  5. Nice guy, bought him shots a couple times. Always out and around Chicago. Guy is so in shape it’s amazing. Was in workout gear meeting friends the one time I saw him.

  6. Love Cheli no one has loved the game more, who plays in the ECHL in their late 40s. He could teach a lot of these players something about dedication.

  7. I remember him playing w Jeremy Roenick. Good times. Why so many scenes of him fighting so much in the highlight reel? I remember him as more of a skater than a fighter though. Good for him! Yay for retiring his number!

  8. As someone growing up on the south side….Chelios is what our city is all about….his stories and opinions on certain players were right on…great representative

  9. Now let's retire the numbers of the Blackhawks who are also in the Hall of Fame LONG before the Wirtz family owned the Hawks.

  10. Chelios used to play roller hockey at an outdoor rink in Anaheim, every summer. I got to play with him and this dude Yachmenev (I think he was a former King player or something). Chelios was a really cool guy.

  11. As a detroiter I wasn't happy he came to the wings until his 1st shift and I was an instant fan. Such a cool guy

  12. Chelios is the pure definition of what a Chicago-Born athlete can be and inspires to be, as a kid from Chicago who fell in love with the sport during a time when the dynasty was in its prime I grew to appreciate and love all our players in prior dynasties.
My mom told me a story on how one day in the 90’s she forced my dad to go to the ford dealership and got our jersey signed by Chelly and she wore it every single game the hawks played. And Chris playing for my St. Jude Knights on the good ol’ south side of Chicago teared me up a little bit cause Chelly was one of my biggest influences for the style I tried to replicate. #7 will always be solidified with Chelly and Seabs and I couldn’t be more pleased to see that number up in our rafters!

  13. He's ok when with the Hawks 👍🏼& Thrashers BUT hated so when he was w Canadians & Red Wings 👎🏼
