Can’t afford another losing streak even if it’s a 3 game losing streak which is looking possible. It will blow the wings playoff chances. Not saying it will happen but it’s happened to much in the past to be sure.
The refs really helped out the islanders today a lot no credit for there lucky win,I watched the entire game SOOOO many tripping calls missed on the islanders and holding calls and all the fumbles soft calls were on Detroit,you can hear the fans post with the refs right in front of the plays and no calls.even lalonde was frustrated.For those who don’t believe that or see that your dumb and delusional,or just didn’t watch the game because this was not on Detroit maybe our first period was bad but we came out good in the 2nd and 3rd and the refs the rest way helped the islanders F you iles

Lyon was HORRENDOUS tonight. Like, really really bad. Refs didn’t feel like calling anything for us either but damn Lyon, that was bad.
I don't usually complain about the refs like many do but the Islanders definitely got some help from them with the blatant non calls and the ticky tack hooking call on Detroit that led to the PP goal. However, it doesn't change the fact that the Wings didn't show up in the 1st period and imploded defensively each time they tied it in the 3rd. Also, a rare instance where Lyon looked shaky.

It was a loss, but honestly a pretty solid game on both sides. Really good to see Detroit take a defensive, close loss with an empty-netter as opposed to a blowout. Big improvement from last season's streakiness for sure!

This was the first time the Islanders have scored into an empty net ALL SEASON. It took them a whopping 59 games to do it. They’ve played 22 overtime games because of their terrible penalty kill (last in the league) and their inability to put games away late.
Islanders had the better goalie.
